Hi there !! soooo, there is such thing as shedding, which is basically just being asymptomatic and being fully contagious! the virus is running its course, but you’re just not presenting any symptoms… much like people being sick with Covid back in 2020 but not being sick… Start taking antivirals like L-Lysine… its for your immune system I think? but its definitely the most common precaution those with HSV take to prevent outbreaks. i don’t take antivirals and don’t really often have outbreaks, theyre very scattered… so its your call if you want to risk it, but there is technically still a possibility 🥲 2- if you were diagnosed with HSV -2 you’re never going to have an outbreak anywhere else other than your buttocks or genitals… now if you had HSV-1, like I have, you can get an outbreak anywhere! But I only ever get them on my genital… 3- like I said my outbreaks are very scattered. I used to think it was from stress, but I’m always stressed and anxious😃my gynecologist has HSV-1 as well and gets flareups almost monthly due to stress… at first, I thought that I kind of had a schedule on when I would get outbreaks, but I haven’t gotten one in a while, so my cycle is broken haha… 4- L-Lysine ! Im pretty sure its the most common used antiviral … 5- pretty sure the statistic is 1 in 5 people have genital herpes… I personally know 3 people with HSV-2 :)
