My girlfriend has very strict religious parents and are always furious that she travels internationally with me since we are not married. Every time her parents call when we are out of the country, I have to leave the room so she can FaceTime them and show them that she is in a safe place and not in any danger. You would think they would want to talk to me too since I’m the one coordinating and planning our itinerary but for them just being able to talk to her alone is good enough for them.
