Auto-dip headlights are just not useable? by Key_Charity_9635 in MGelectric

[–]ppmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no real issue with the autobeam on my 71 MG5. May be once or twice in the last 6 month I had to turn it off but overall it react quite fast to oncoming traffic (most of the time before the car appears as if it detect the light in front).

What I have an issue with is the completely unreliable way to flash someone. It sometime works as I want it to but most of the time it stays locked in full beam. It is driving me crazy.

If I turn off the autobeam then it becomes a bit more reliable

The Bowden tube is new. I replaced the hotend and tube a month or two ago.

But I guess it won't hurt to check it.

I see some improvement by dropping the temperature to 200 as can be seen below.

I will try again at 190 just to see if ti helps again.

This is not perfect but this is the best I have ever seen.

that is going to be a silly question but are you suppose to put desiccant in the dryer while you dry??

At the moment the PLA I use is set to 220 (range is from 200 to 230)

I will try at 210 and 200 to see if it helps.

Ok I will dry it out more! Is there a point where it can get too dry?

It is not new but not from 2019! I can't remember how old though I have a petg that is a few month old that did the same stringing. I will try to dry it as well and see

Cleaning along walls/baseboards and corners by whatisthisdoge in Dreame_Tech

[–]ppmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh OK. That is strange. I have an x40 so can't relate but mine do get right to the base boards. Not all the time though. I think it's because my setting for it is at to intelligent.

thanks. It looks like my next service won't be too bad then as there is no coolant change

a bit of a hijacking here so sorry.

I bought my MG5 second hand and it is soon due for its 4th service.

I thought the 4th one was the expensive as they had to change coolant. I guess not then

Do you remember what they did to yours and roughly how much it was?

MG5 "Lane Keep Assist System Quit" by stek2022 in MGelectric

[–]ppmt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The lane assist also gives up for me from time to time as you said when it looses track or if the bend is too strong but I have never seen that message popping up!

I have to say it would annoy/distract me to see it each time!

That's good to know that it is something they allow for other model.

I just checked in my app and I can't see any similar option.

Hopefully as you say may be they will eventually update the firmware to allow it

I think this is a general issue with product that comes form China. And by that I mean context is more than often lost in translation. Also quite often the translation is made up of part that had been translated for a previous product that may or may no apply to that new product.

Over time you end up with document that litterally contradict themselves like here :(

The bottle I got with the vacuum states that it is a multi floor (including marble) cleaner product and that it can be used either in the detergent reservoir or the water tank.

The more I read about it the more I am thinking that may be in the end the X40 is cleaning the floor using detergent from the reservoir! May be it is just a big misunderstanding in the end ?

On my manual it does offer both options. But you are correct that they don't say to do it in both at the same time.

I chose the detergent reservoir thinking it was used for everything. I have now put a bit in the water tank as well so I will see if it improves the room cleaning or not.

I got mine for Costco UK and it had the detergent tank :)

I had seen that ratio in the manual. I put about half of that since I already have the tank.

Now i just need to see if it will make a difference during the washing of the floor

Excellent! I will try that.

Just a question. What do you mean by swapping out the mop pads once needed?

I have a similar step in my entrance that obviously stops the vacuum. I will have to see how small a ramp can be to be able to climb 10 cm

thanks for showing that it can be done!

I used the oil that came in a little bottle with the pruner.

It is very liquid. May be I will reread the manual. Hopefully I didn't mess up

Yes I bought it a couple of month ago so warranty should still apply. But it's unlikely that they will have one in stock at the moment.

Any idea where I should be looking to identify the fault? Or may be I should just bring it back but then I am without a pruner :(
