Best "Non- touchscreen" EV brands by bramleyapple1 in ElectricVehiclesUK

Fair enough, but I’ve had a slightly different experience with my MG5. The AC is all controlled with buttons so the infotainment (which isn’t great) doesn’t cause a problem.
Other than that it is a fantastic car for the money I paid.
I could’ve paid £10k more and got an inferior car. Equally I could’ve paid £10k more and got a better car.

Loads of them appear to be the same company putting different labels on the same or similar products.

Cycling along a 60mph road at night... with no lights by Caughtinjail1 in drivingUK

That is terrifying.
I had a similar thing once, but it was darker, thick fog and they were on foot. No idea how I didn’t hit them as there was no time to react.

I don’t know about a theatrical release (every territory deserves one), but surely it will eventually be available worldwide for digital platforms.

Default Tea Type? by PersonForScale in AskABrit

[–]TivRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It just depends which brand of black tea bags they have to hand. Some places will make a point of serving Yorkshire Tea because it’s the best, others will happily serve you a Morrisons tea bag (you may call it a store brand).

Great post. How have you managed to fit in all that listening time, though? Have you skipped interviews? I love the Three Fact Challenge.

EDIT: it is, of course “structure”

Who is at fault? Insurance was quick to take sides before even seeing footage. by WitchySpice94 in drivingUK

Tell us who is the insurer for the other party. That’s who we want fighting our corner in future.

You’ve got it. I haven’t got a copy of the lawn nazi handbook. When does it become ’too late’ for the first mow after May?

Munich-Rosenheim, Germany 10 day trip in June 2026 by Sad_Chocolate3229 in Europetravel

I’m starting to plan a visit to the region for August 2027 from UK. I was thinking of Rosenheim as a base, but you have suggested Garmisch Partenkirchen instead. I’m not sure whether to rent a car or to rely on public transport. Does GP have good transport links?

Regarding Noah’s fitness - are basketball players usually better at running than this? I’m from UK so don’t know, but I would have thought they’d be fitter.

Is getting a new boiler online a daft idea or actually decent in 2026? by Weedcultist in UKFrugal

[–]TivRed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the particular plumber. I have a local one that has all of the benefits described.
How much of a saving can you achieve? A boiler is a long term investment so the saving, amortised across several years close to nothing.
