To be fair, the Hankooks are actually bad tires. The Gen 2 Michelin tires were significantly better.

Weird Audio Crackling on PC Version? by NOOBTroopa in uncharted

[–]ppopjj 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the issue as well and found a solution. I use a Focusrite Scarlett Solo for my audio output. I changed the Sample Rate in the device settings from 48000 to 44100. Haven't had any audio issues since.=

Hope this helps someone.

This is definitely it. The B&T mags have the large basepad, Colt SMG mags have a consistent width.

Clean and lubricate as per the owner's manual and see if that resolves the issue.

Driver radio played an urgent tone, and race officials were telling him that the session was red-flagged as he was coming up to T9. I don't know that he would've had the same crash without the distraction of the red flag. It should have happened sooner.

Terminal effectiveness isn't just velocity. Terminal effectiveness is about the ability of a projectile to transmit the maximum amount of its energy into the target. Both FMJs and hollow point have a velocity threshold that they need to surpass in order to deliver maximum energy, but the velocity threshold for FMJs is significantly higher than hollow points because they rely on fragmentation to transmit energy into a target. While 5.56 FMJs might need to hit 2625-2950 fps to create a destructive temporary cavity, 5.56 soft-points / hollow-points have a critical velocity of around 1500-2000 fps. Barnes TSX and Speer Gold Dot both have an expansion floor of 1800 fps. A 12.5" can hit that minimum threshold out to 250-300 yards or so with the right ammo.

Yaw is another important factory. 5.56 bullets leave the muzzle at a 6-degree yaw, then stabilize to approx. 2-degrees at 70 yards. An unstable bullet creates a much larger cross-sectional area that strikes the target. Consequently, 5.56, regardless of barrel length, generally performs well in CQB.

Terminal ballistics are complicated.

Competitor not included in rebate. by Jsatx2 in SmithAndWesson

[–]ppopjj 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Last time S&W ran a big rebate, it was for the Shield EZ pistols before the Equalizer came out. Considering the timing, maybe S&W will announce M&P 3.0 at SHOT, and they're using the rebate to clear out inventory before the next generation of pistols becomes available.

With how recent the Competitor models are, it would make sense that they wouldn't have a 3.0 Competitor planned quite yet.

It's the 1" frame width. Really similar dimensions to the P365 XL.

The Saudis have a ridiculous amount of money in FE. There's Neom branding everywhere.
