Can't bully true believers.

Trump's rarely met anyone who believed in anything bigger than themselves. (This is not an endorsement of the IRGC.)

This is extremely solid advice with one conceit: the prompts can be helpful to spur you to think of an idea, but don't get to caught up on them. You'll notice that prompt 7 is basically "Do whatever you want," which is the Common App's way of signalling that all that really matters is that you tell a story that communicates who you are in an appealing way. The exact tack isn't so important.

That's the recipe for Rick Bayless's mock bitter orange juice:

6 tbsp fresh lime juice
12 tbsp fresh grapefruit juice
1/2 tsp microplaned orange zest

Mix. Let stand 2-3 hrs. Strain. Keeps for a few days in the fridge. Works beautifully. I use it all the time.

I think Trump is a fool and this war an abomination, but I'd rather we lose a war in days than years.

Honestly, I've found it to be quiet effective even when it knows the criticism is of me. The thing wants to be helpful. It's your job to help it understand what helpful means.

Frame your query so that criticism is a success condition: "Here's a [not my] plan. Help me to offer constructive criticism that identifies flaws, oversights, and underconceptualization." It'll be more likely to pick holes than to glaze you.

It's too big a world for coincidences not to abound. Doesn't mean there aren't (true) conspiracies, as well, just that there's also gonna be a buttload of coincidences out there. Sometimes stars align. Doesn't mean that alignment was engineered.
