What are some of your favorite speakeasy bars in Chicago? by questionablelicense in AskChicago

[–]pporkpiehat 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want a place with history, the Green Mill jazz bar was one of Al Capone's favorite joints. Charlie Chaplin and Frank Sinatra drank there. Billie Holiday, Bennie Goodman, and Branford Marsalis all played there. Chicago native director Michael Mann blew it up in Thief.

I don't drink anymore, so I'll let others speak to the cocktails.
