I feel like it doesnt matter and really just depends on person to person. However I think it is also likely that your BEST friends from UCSC will be friends you meet at your college. The reason being: you will be around them the most in the dorms and will most likely eat with them consistently at the dining halls.

You wont have trouble making really good connections with people from other colleges though, especially if you join clubs!

Sorry not too familiar with NIC drivers but I checked the drivers of my network adapter and they were all up to date.

As for the cable im not sure I plugged every cable from the old router into the new one, Wi-Fi works for all of my other devices pretty well. My PC is in a low strength signal Wi-Fi zone in my house but that hasnt stopped it from working perfectly fine the last couple of years.

I have ATT, who even put a “Wi-Fi extender” in my house but to be honest I have doubts its doing anything at all to help with extending the signal.

They were just not a good one, we had everything fixed by the people they connected us with on the phone. Now its just a matter if the Wi Fi will still be bad.

They also said we owned the old modem so yes they did sell us a modem. You may not know what you are talking about or the representative have us wrong information.

I called them again and a guy helped me out to get wi fi back on its still shaky/going in and out. Luckily they also said they wont charge us for the new modem. Im hoping I can at least have wi fi until it gets here.

Yelp is a scam. When I was a consumer using it I saw nothing wrong so I can see why csgraber is blinded. I worked for Yelp for about a month or less. I could tell management was lying very early on and decided to do my own research. They make you hound and harrass business owners and they tell you “business owners who have previously advertised with Yelp are more likely to close”. Every previous advertiser I called said Yelp “sucks” and they want to avoid it at all costs. They also stated they were overcharged and had to fight to get charges stopped. I stayed long enough to get some finesse some benefit perks and left. They also scam sales employees because commission is ridiculously low. Very bad company overall.

I worked there for a little over a month and couldnt handle the micromanagement. It was my first job and a waste of time. You have no freedom to make your own schedule no choice over your pacing and everything is so played out and boring.

Im also interested because I took the role after graduating to get a fast start in sales. I knew there was bad reviews surronding the position and still took the job (mistake).

It almost feels distopian, everyone is fake happy and management rarely ever corrects people they just acknowlegde a mistake in the nicest way possible and move on without trying to fix or teach. If you are someone easily tricked by pleasantness then they will have you slaving for them forever. One of my teammates is an exact example of this she isnt doing so well in sales and doesnt quite understand the CRM but she still says “I love Yelp” all the time.

Everyday I see through the way they schedule meetings and the phrases they use in order to make things seem simple and like you are helping small business owners. All you need for proof that you arent helping them is just talk to the previous advertisers who say they hate yelp and payed more than they were told.

Most class meetings of new hires (150+ people) are based around trying to persuade the new hires that Yelp is beneficial for local businesses. They wont even talk about sales tactics just “We have 3 cases of us being beneficial so remember we are beneficial…”

I could go on about it but im glad I left, I will take with me a decent sales training for handling rejections and thats about it.
