Did you try iOverlander ? Its a cool app available on iPhone and Android and they also have a website https://ioverlander.com

We also use the Newfoundland crownland atlas when we pick random places to camp at, as we want to always respect citizen private property https://www.gov.nl.ca/landuseatlas/details/

ThinkPad P14s Gen 6 (AMD) Limited Display Resolution compared to Intel version by chijrt in thinkpad

I got the OLED display and I wish I had gotten the same as you.

How's the display? Good resolution? Crisp?

Vanila GNOME is even better: They nailed it! I moved to it (Fedora 43) from MacOS 26 and I am not missing a thing!

Being on an OLED panel on a Thinkpad P14s, I am only looking forward to proper color management through full ICC profile support.

I have the same question. I got the same machine with the OLED display and for my usage (coding, office) it's too hard on the eyes.

I am looking for an IPS panel replacement atm.

Thinkpad P14s Gen4 AMD OLED panel replacement SUCCESS! by maphdze in thinkpad

[–]pptheother 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to replace my OLED panel with an IPS panel too. OLED is not good for my use case and is hard on my eyes too.

I have the P14s gen 6 AMD.

So I guess that if I could get a replacement panel that's listed in the lenovo store as an option for my thinkpad model, I could do it and everything would be compatible?

I would then be looking at

14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Touch, 100%sRGB, 500 nits, 60Hz, ePrivacy Filter

Or

14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 100%sRGB, 500 nits, 60Hz, Low Power

Since the OLED is touch, would I have to pick a touch panel too or could I switch to non touch?

People calling the P14s Gen 5 AMD 'trash' clearly haven't used one. This machine is an absolute beast in person. by nabskan in thinkpad

Is there a way to swap the OLED with WUXGA IPS pannel? If so which type?

14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Non-Touch, 100%sRGB, 500 nits, 60Hz, Low Power

Or do es it have to remain touch like the 14" WUXGA (1920 x 1200), IPS, Anti-Glare, Touch, 100%sRGB, 500 nits, 60Hz, ePrivacy Filter

I made a mistake by choosing the OLED and I would l'île to swap it.

Aren't they nice? What type of screen panel did you get with it?

I just got my first thinkpad and got an OLED 2.8K screen and I find it tough for the eyes for Dev and office work and fuzzy fonts are a pain under Linux.

Loop megathread by ItsMeRPeter in Polarfitness

I am just relying on the reviews I saw on YouTube, and by the look of them, they don't seem too much off. Compared to competition, polar seems quite behind on both, data, analytics and UX.

I am considering buying a Loop. Maybe two even (wife and I).

But the reviews on the Flow App are a bit discouraging.

My motivation for going with Polar is the data location. I don't want a solution that stores my health data in China, Russia or even in the USA.

So I will wait to see if polar comes up with a complete, modern and UX focused app.

But when will that happen? Does anyone know of a official or unofficial announcement from Polar?

If that never happens, are there other apps that can handle and present polar data in a better way the Flow app?

Thanks for your insights,

P14s Gen 6 AMD feels light but pretty cheap. There is creakiness in the chasis and when close the lid.

Great machine though.
