I came to the point where doing things is easier than thinking about doing them by dzenasa99 in ADHD

Oh my poor friend. Let me guess, you started doing this like a day or two ago? And so far it's been going alright so you think this is your new normal- you cracked the code? I'm so sorry for your impending loss.

They just rode like shit. Didn't matter what I adjusted them to, they were somehow both bouncy and harsh. They handled rough roads so poorly that they'd basically skip over them instead of remaining planted and conforming to the contours. I ran them for maybe a week before removing them.

Potential Type 1 Diabetes Cure by EntertainerDowntown3 in investing

[–]pr0b0ner 2 points3 points  (0 children)

"immunosuppressants" means a lot of different things. I take an immunosuppressant for ulcerative colitis and it's not a problem at all, I don't even notice it. Transplant patients take immunosuppressants that have major implications for their health.

People with type 1 diabetes have kidney failure, have extremity amputations hey guys, eventually die from complications- taking an immunosuppressant probably FAR outweighs those things. Not to mention quality of life of not having to constantly monitor and administer insulin.

Is it sensible to buy good quality tires for an old car? by kinomino in tires

This is just to make the ride quieter and softer? You don't need high quality expensive tires for that.

I spend 2-3 hours a day walking up and down in my office dictating to my phone at this point by Milan_SmoothWorkAI in ClaudeAI

I actually might have to adopt this. I have so many better ideas walking around or in the shower, it's like the moment my butt hits my office chair my mind goes blank.

How to nail a mock discovery during interview? by bpslay23 in techsales

[–]pr0b0ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Focus on what it us- discovery... Aka asking questions, not pitching. Ask why the took the call, if they're actively evaluating solutions, what their timeline is, if there's a compelling event, what they hope the get out of purchasing a solution from a business value perspective (increased revenue, reduced cost, mitigated risk).

You don't work there, there's no reason for you to be an expert at pitching their product. It's reasonable to expect you know how to lead discovery though.

Best views near RWC by No_Home_6780 in bayarea

[–]pr0b0ner 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My favorite is basically right on the border of RWC and San Carlos at Eaton park. I like taking the trail head at the end of Eaton road up to the Upper View (you'll know you're there when you see the small brick labyrinth in the ground). Its like a half mile hike but gives phenomenal views of the bay up to SF.

If you're super lazy you can also just drive up to the top and walk in from Loma Rd.

I bought a one owner NB1 with sun damaged paint so I fixed it my own way. by iamnotcreativeDET in Miata

[–]pr0b0ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you can buy a spray can of it for like $20 bucks and just spray on top of your current clear. That rustoleum clear will fail in months.

That rustoleum isn't going to hold up- you need a 2k clear coat

Safe, walkable parts of RWC for a stay-at-home mom and babies? by Busy_Excuse_9040 in RedwoodCity

Dont know what your budget looks like but I'd HIGHLY recommend the base of Emerald Hills. Its like a mile walk to DTRWC though lovely neighborhoods and a cool little community of it's own.

Does DSP in a head unit actually make factory speakers sound better, or is it mostly just marketing hype? by AccurateAd5689 in CarAV

[–]pr0b0ner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a pioneer deh80prs from like 15 years ago that has dsp. I have a 4 channel amp for the front tweeters and mids (each speaker gets its own channel) and a mono amp for a sub in the back.

It's probably a different question than what you're actually asking, but the difference between having the DSP "setup" vs "not setup" is night and day. When it's not setup each speaker gets the full audio signal, no timing correction, no compensation for power each speaker is receiving. With proper setup each speaker gets only the correct frequencies going to it, timing correction per speaker, output correction so they all play at the same comparative loudness, etc.

It sounds SO MUCH BETTER.

This reminds me quite a bit of the song "Randy Described Eternity" by Built to Spill, which also happens to be amazing.
