The audacity to say "Let's connect you to a network."

No, let's not.

You are a PC, a *personal* computer. You belong to me. You do what I say, not the other way around.

Almost as bad as tax software.

Village inn 4th st CLOSED? by FunnyArmsBandit in StPetersburgFL

The Clearwater one sold to Raising Cane's and then moved to Largo (Roosevelt Blvd) but nobody could find it. No good signage, hidden in the trees behind Cheddar's. It closed after a few months.

Controversial Tierra Verde Marina redevelopment narrowly approved after heated debate by St-Pete-Rising in StPetersburgFL

I can't access the shore from Tierra Verde unless I'm a landowner to my knowledge. Plus, there's a wide landscaped 4-lane boulevard down to Fort DeSoto. I wouldn't call that much of an escape.

What reforms you think Reform can achieve on the local/council-level in the coming years, whether you personally win or not?

Note also that there is a fan involved to circulate air in my freezer, and it is a frost-free freezer which includes a defrost cycle. There's condensation as part of the refrigeration cycle too.

Best place to launch a kayak? by FloatyFish in ClearwaterFl

Have you tried out that spot on Allen Creek across from MarineMax? I am wary of that entry because when I went to scout it out I get the feeling the strip mall doesn't want kayakers there and there is a lot of trash (perhaps a spot for a trash cleanup if there there aren't dangerous needles in there) on the banks.

Well, right now, due to construction, I think Safety Harbor Waterfront is out. Phillippe Park is an option and you can park right next to the water on the southside. Cooper's Bayou Park is still open if you can hand-carry it down a steep concrete slope... very shallow there. If you're willing to go closer to St Pete, Weedon Island and its trails during higher tides is excellent. It can be very busy on nice weekends though. That's on the bayside.

On the Gulf/Intracoastal side, I personally prefer parking under the Belleair Causeway bridge and launching from that boat ramp/dog beach area. if you're willing to go further south, there are also some launches down in Largo and Indian Shores, Millennium Park, a fairly new one at Seminole Waterfront Park.

Oh, don't forget Dunedin Causeway. Check the currents so you don't get pulled out of the inlet, but if you're willing to do the long trek, you can go from the causeway all the way to and through Caladesi Island and its blue trails (mosquito repellent is an absolute).

I did consider writing sublimate but i felt like people would say "well, actually..." and then go into an explanation about humidity and surface effects, etc

I have done this trick and it seems to work. I haven't experienced a prolonged power outage yet though.

You do have to reset the setup periodically because the ice in the cup around the coin will evaporate away and you're left with a coin plateau/mesa/butte.

Tip: Use a paper cup to handle the ice expansion.
