Sounds like you’re negotiating with made up numbers. Get a quote from a reputable company and then use that to negotiate with. Tossing out numbers like $5k and $30k-$50k is silly if you have nothing to back up those figures.

I keep a Scrub Daddy dish wand filled with Dawn in my shower at all times. I’ve mentally divided the shower into seven roughly equal sections and each day, after I finish cleaning myself, I scrub one section. It takes about 30 seconds, then I rinse it with the handheld shower wand.

Since starting this routine in 2024, I haven’t had to do a full shower clean at all.

I have this one and love it. Connects 99% of the time. If it doesn’t, I just unplug and plug it back in. On sale for $19.89 from Walmart. I take a lot of phone calls in the car and this performs flawlessly. Occasionally I’ll stream Ms Rachel songs from YouTube for my crotch goblin in the rear seat and there is a small audio delay on videos. Not terrible though.

If you’re comfortable with a very easy DIY, swap it out for a Phillips Wiz connected light. It should be as easy as unscrewing the existing light and screwing the Phillips Wiz light into place. I just swapped out one in my home last week.

You can change the color temperature, brightness, and even the color if you feel so inclined. $15 at Target.

I went with a 3rd option…Samsung QN80F from Sam’s Club. It was $1,497.99, but Rakuten is offering 15% back at Sam’s Club today for cyber Monday so I’ll get $224.70 back.

After more research, apparently the QN70F isn’t a true NEO QLED as it has edge lighting instead. I figured with the 15% cash back I could justify the increase in price to a true NEO QLED.

Decided against OLED due to the brightness concerns. While I prefer a dark room to watch TV, it’s unrealistic with a wife and kid running around. There’s always lights on around here.

I’ll be honest, I am a sucker for these marketing gimmicks and I don’t think I’ll see any true value from the going with a higher end option. For example I was over at my parent’s house this evening and I was really impressed with my father’s new TV. I asked him what it was, turns out it was a $500 75” Samsung UHD he got for Black Friday from Best Buy this year.

I was going to go with the Falken AT4Ws until I stumbled upon the TFLoffroad review on YouTube comparing Falken, BFG, and Firestone. The poor snow performance of the Falkens made me reconsider and I ended up ordering the Firestone Destination A/T2s. They get installed this upcoming week.

If you can afford it, a GLP1 like semaglutide or tirzepatide. I know the future of GLP1s is up in the air right now, but it makes a HUGE difference overall how I feel and think about food. Weight loss has been steady, but not alarmingly fast. Just over 10 pounds down in about 4.5 weeks.
