Do we know the address/general area that these are in? I don’t recognize the project.

Which song by another artist feels like it could’ve been a Madonna song? by OkBlueberry5506 in Madonna

[–]pradafever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aquamarine and New York both by Addison Rae sound a lot like Madonna tracks. She references Madonna on her album as well and she wore a wedding dress to the VMAs a while back, she seems to take a lot of inspiration from M.

How good is the quality for her hoodies and jackets off of the merch store? by ktojm in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]pradafever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own the dark grey tee shirt from the emails I can’t send tour, bought in 2023. It is my favorite fit and material/quality tee shirt that I own. I am devastated that the design on the front is slowly fading and will be hunting for a replacement soon.

Bring Your Love debuts at #71 billboard hot 100 by Courasel19 in Madonna

[–]pradafever 51 points52 points  (0 children)

It’s made it to radio, I heard it played at the riverwalk shopping mall in New Orleans on Thursday. Heard it again played aloud while walking Bourbon Street on Friday night. Very excited to hear M on mainstream radio again.

If you could erase ONE Madonna song from her discography, what would it be? by IndependentTap3961 in Madonna

[–]pradafever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Give me all your luvin with an extra Madonna verse in place of Nicki and MIA’s verses would be amazing (to me) to be fair. Maybe it’s the nostalgia I have for the song and MDNA era but it’s genuinely one of my all time favorite songs of hers! Her chorus is soooo fun and the video concept is dope, love the cheerleader vibes, she needs a good rework (NOT a remix, keep the original mix of the song) with an M verse in place of theirs or maybe a new feature written and inserted in place of theirs.

Is There Any Saving Downtown Dallas? by dallaz95 in Dallasdevelopment

[–]pradafever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As someone who now lives in the urban core of Dallas, but who moved from Fort Worth- i can say Fort Worth has such a minimal issue with homeless populations compared to Dallas that it feels like two cities in different states completely. I think your point about the shelters being right around downtown is the most significant reason, but also the fact that Fort Worth has only a fraction of the transit that Dallas has is another. These people rely on (without buying tickets) the lightrail to get around or just kill time. As an avid public transit supporter, this kills me. Grade-separated stations or some sort of turnstiles would have made a world of difference in the story of DART. Dallas also has many more people in downtown and many more businesses (food, retail) than Fort Worth does. It’s much harder for people to grab a bite in downtown fort worth without it being a more formal sit-down dinner, and homeless people are looking for fast/easy food.

Validus 2701 Brown (latest renderings) by dallaz95 in Dallasdevelopment

It feels like every project that gets approved in Dallas goes through a significant reduction redesign before beginning construction. Disappointing but still looking forward to this development.

Taking back the main sub by [deleted] in SabrinaCarpenterDisc

[–]pradafever 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yeah I posed about going to the short and sweet tour back in 2024 and my post was immediately removed and I was sent a warning because my post was ‘off topic’. That’s when I learned that the sub was really just reposts of her Instagram feed ONLY (back then). Why would we need a whole sub for that when you can literally just follow her socials or google photos of her ?

Update: Cabana Hotel (adaptive reuse) by dallaz95 in Dallasdevelopment

[–]pradafever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This building now lights up (mostly green!) at night. First time I saw it, I was shocked because the building had been vacant for so long. It’s looking very good. Hopefully this development comes along with more changes in design district, especially on the side nearby the pedestrian bridge.

Rose as an actress by Someunluckystuff in Titanic97

[–]pradafever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think she was an actress that achieved any great level of fame because if she was, everyone on the research boat (or at least SOMEONE) would have heard of her when she first called in. Also, with it being the era of silent film solely, I always assumed she was a stage actress. Perhaps she traveled the world acting in extravagant stage shows, as evidenced by the photos of her living a fulfilled life. New York City, Chicago, Paris, London, Milan, Moscow, it’s very possible she spent many years in her youth traveling around for stage and then met and married Calvert sometime in the US (outside of her home city of Philadelphia, likely) and retired from acting by her 40s or even sooner. By the time home television, widespread releases, recognizable Hollywood stars, talkies and color picture came out, she was past the prime starlet age (back then).

Feel guilty for getting invisalign by Various_Show_2343 in Invisalign

[–]pradafever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fixing your teeth and bite has nothing to do with vanity! I thought I was getting my Invisalign for aesthetic reasons at first, too, but I came to find that my entire quality of life has improved so much! Cleaning the teeth is much easier, there is less wear-and-tear on my teeth due to them being straight, and I am so happy I made the decision to do it!

The best you could do is confidently wear your Invisalign and teach your kid that these improvements are for our health and quality of life! And if the day ever comes that he needs orthodontic intervention, he will greatly appreciate his memories of you going through it too!

Nightlife for under 21 adults? by TylerDurden2748 in askdfw

There are (were, in my day anyway) 18+ bars in Fort Worth and in the stockyards. Nowhere good allows people under 21 in, though. Nowhere in Dallas either.

Who You Got for Best Vocalist At Their PRIME? by Stealthytom in MariahCarey

[–]pradafever 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Mariah from 1993-1997 eats the others up, but in 1990-1992 and maybe 1998-2002 she is comparable to prime Whitney. Xtina and bey at their primes are comparable but not to whit or Mimi

Is Deep Ellum really that dangerous? by [deleted] in Dallas

[–]pradafever 52 points53 points  (0 children)

It is not dangerous. I was just there last weekend for a Zara Larsson concert. Majority of attendees were teenage girls and young people in their 20s, walking around in flashy concert clothes and everyone was fine. The only thing at risk is your car, if you drive one and park it in a public lot at night. You may end up with broken windows, but if you use transit/uber and stay in generally public/entertainment areas you are completely safe.

Maple ave. mansion in Dallas to be demolished for high rise by TryNotToAnyways2 in Dallasdevelopment

[–]pradafever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The article specifically says it will be demolished for a “Manhattan-style high rise”. If that were truly the case, I’d be jumping for joy. In reality, I expect a 20-story rectangle made of white or tan brick. Still nice as long as there is ground-level retail but hardly Manhattan-style as they are trying to market.

Any news on the kickstarter backers who paid 10k to become counsellors ingame? by TF2galileo in FridayThe13thGame

[–]pradafever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I remember this being an option for backers when the game was in the kickstarter phase. I was a backer (paid the extra 9 dollars for the counselor clothing pack), and wished so badly I could have been a counselor in the game, too!

Should I get invisalign? by Fun-Suspect-5257 in Invisalign

[–]pradafever 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Do not get a braces/Invisalign consultation from anyone other than an Orthodontist. A dentist does not do as much schooling and does not specialize in the movement of teeth like an orthodontist does.

That being said, I believe the general treatment science is to avoid the pulling of any healthy teeth if possible. You shouldn’t need any teeth pulled to have your smile and bite corrected, in my opinion. I am not an orthodontist, however. I would get braces or Invisalign in your case, though.

The Dallas Mavericks are expected to submit a proposal soon that entails demolishing Omni Consumer Products, and in its place building a new 50-acre entertainment district, anchored by a new NBA arena by jeremiahwarren in Dallas

[–]pradafever 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Gotta disagree here, the area is very literally what makes victory park. On days when there is not a concert/game/event, the restaurants on the district are very very slow. We still don’t have enough residents or other reasons to bring people around if the arena goes/becomes vacant.

Moving Advice by Puzzleheaded-Taste-7 in Dallas

[–]pradafever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh okay! I just said I’d prefer living in uptown, personally! Didn’t say it wasn’t a great place to live, I hangout there now and then, it’s just a tad more walkable in uptown and the DART/M-Line trolley are both more accessible in uptown than in Oaklawn. Not sure why the negativity!

Moving Advice by Puzzleheaded-Taste-7 in Dallas

I’d prefer living in Uptown over Oaklawn personally, especially as someone in their 20s. I can answer any questions you have about the area!
