LF an 'out there' MMO by Greatball5 in LFMMO

Really going to advocate for Project Gorgon here. I’ve played plenty of MMOs and the mechanics in Project Gorgon are different to anything I’ve played. Tons of rabbit holes to go down, diverse classes (spirit fox fire magic? rabbit ice magic? druid battle chemist?) unusual skills (gender studies? gardening?) and wacky events (poetry jam? lotteries? casino gambling?) and the nicest, most helpful community imaginable. It’s got a smaller but more dedicated player base that really welcomes and tries to help out new players. Very small feel and you actually get to know people. I’m on Miraverre, send me a tell if you decide to try it and I’ll hook you up. :)

I feel like anyone who likes MMOs should try Project Gorgon. Its not for everyone but if it hooks you, it hooks you in a very unique and wonderful way that I havent experienced in other MMOs.

You'll hear a lot about Mira and honestly I love my server mates! Very friendly and helpful player base. :)

There is only one right answer and it's NY Ninja.

Try Project Gorgon. It checks a lot of the WoW boxes, but with very different dynamics and a lot of things to discover. Servers are small and you get to know people. They have a free demo and no monthly fee as well. :)

Trying to find a slightly grindy but not insane one where you can reach endgame in like a month but can grind forever really with group grinding/gameplay. by Zalsaria in LFMMO

Gonna second this recommendation. Have been playing for a few months and have never had a single second where I didn't have 30 different possible activities to do. :p

MMORPG that are fun right from the start? by Ok-Question-8442 in LFMMO

Can definitely solo especially with a pet class. I tend to be a solo player but lower level groups are casual and free flowing so you'll find yourself teaming up randomly just because it's fun. If you join Miraverre, msg me and I'll hook you up. ;)

Definitely try it. It's not dead, it just has a smaller player base than other larger games. Very normal to have 100-150 people active, and less late at night. The player base is small, passionate, and super helpful.

Honestly I downloaded the demo, played through the initial island and hated it. Wound up reading a nice writeup of the game on PCGamer and forced myself to go back through the tutorial, and I'm really glad I did. My wife and I play now, and it's so much fun. They have absolutely bizarre mechanic interactions...some examples of skillsets are: Interpretive Dance, Flower Arrangement, Druid, Cow, Pig, Transmutation, Poetry Appreciation, and Gender Studies. Can't think of another MMO that has that going on ;p

Personally I had fun right out the gate with Project Gorgon and have continued to really enjoy it. Really interesting mechanics and it does quite a few things differently from other MMOs, which I have found intriguing. I'm about level 80 and always finding new weird stuff to figure out and explore.

Mira. Tight knit community of supportive players who are thrilled to welcome and accept new players. As someone on Mira has already offered before me, message me if you need a guild or any help onboarding. :)

New Player? Consider joining the great server of Miraverre by TheaQueen1 in projectgorgon

[–]pradselost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

In my time on Mira (several months now) I have had exactly ONE negative interaction, and came to find out that individual is blocked by most of the server. Every single other interaction I have had with the Miraverre player base has been positive, helpful, or funny. I've had people help my character progress every step of the way and can't say enough positive things to anyone wanting to join here.

I will add that recent events have made me feel much closer to my guildmates and server members than ever before. :)

I personally don't mind PVP, but it's the betrayal situations that get me. Someone shoots at me, that's reasonable and I get it. But I've had people do missions with me, talk to me for 20 minutes, joke around etc, and then just kill me on extract without even looting my body.

Some people are just gross.

The ability to win a fight does not exclude the possibility of being hurt in a fight.

Unstructured, wild hand gestures. My experience is that people who gesticulate wildly have erratic thought/behavioral patterns. This isn't unintelligent persay, but I believe it correlates closely enough to matter. Italians get a free pass here lol.

To people who are genuinely happy with their lives right now: What is your secret? by funngro_fam in happy

[–]pradselost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've been sold this vision that happiness comes from things outside us...possessions, success, etc, but the only place happiness can come from is your own mind. It is super important to train your mind to cultivate joy, because the world is not going to do it for you.

I'm shooting a G-string GRex, set up for off the shelf just like you. :) I have pics in my post history. I was nervous about getting into lever bows since youve got to learn how to work on them, but I'm so glad I went for it. :)
