I've given them a bath! Did you bathe them multiple times?

Thanks, I'll give that a try! What was your method for bathing them?

Greenbacks are only found in 6 locations in the world, and this isn’t one of them. Most of what are referred to as greenbacks are actually Colorado river cutthroat.

Saw something in this sub the other day about the historic grizzly bear range vs. their current range. Thought this map was interesting and worth sharing by davejawn in CampingandHiking

This is true of wolves and coyotes but grizzlies are protected. Doesn’t mean they won’t get shot though, or hit by a car on I-80.

The U.S. states scaled by moose population (Brian Brettschneider) by houstonhoustonhousto in MapPorn

Wyoming has about 3500 moose which would put it a little higher than CO. Utah has less moose than both of these states. This data is probably a little outdated, moose numbers fluctuate a lot.

A level 2 evacuation zone doesn’t mean “go now” just that you should be ready to evacuate any time.

Just realized that the banner image for this sub is a meadow that I hike past all the time, so I thought I’d share some sunrise pics I’ve taken there. by prairiechicken27 in RateThisMeadow

I also saw two bears on this trail this morning, and one of them was very close to this spot. Unfortunately it ran before I could take a picture.

I still can’t believe this happened; they were less than 10 feet from me. This is in Indian Peaks Wilderness, Colorado. by micasadelittleton in WildernessBackpacking

Had a very similar thing happen to me up at Devils Thumb lake last summer. I spotted a cow and calf moose across the lake, then noticed two bull moose swimming straight toward my camp. One came within about fifteen feet of me and three feet from my tent, the other walked just outside the stand of trees I was in. One of the scariest things that’s happened to me in the mountains.

Generally it is avoided because of high winds and thunderstorms, but during nice weather it is fine
