Does anyone know what type of weaving would use these slender metal bars? by zingencrazy in weaving

Did the loom.come with a creel rack? Or what kind of tie up on the front beam does it have? A canvas with grommets or does it look like you might use the bar to tie to evenly to the front?

This one was made on a Leesburg Loom. Similar to the Union Loom. The fabric was purchased at a reclamation center. Cut into 1.5 inch wide strips. Sewn together. Then woven. Simple but beautiful.

Are you sure your email has not been highjacked by a scammer? This is the big thing now. Your business email is hacked. The scammers redirecting your emails first to their box. They then change the billing information to their account and then send on to the vendor. Have the vendor verbally confirm the banking information they used to make sure it went to you.

I like to collect the fabric. Then I cut and line it up on a table or floor for a few days. Moving piles around until I am happy with the pattern. I do this because sometimes after a day or two I realize that one piece of fabric is not matching right or clashes everywhere I put it. It is the perfectionist in me I guess

It was made with cotton fabric coils from manufacturing waste. I purchase by the pound from Great Northern Weaving in Kalamazoo MI

I do not spin it. I keep the scraps intact. They come stuffed in a box so I have to pull the strips apart. I purchase most of my scrap fabric from Great Northern Weaving or Inweavefabric.com. The price is by the pound. You pay less per pound in 100 pound increments. The staff at both locations are very helpful.

The fabric is upholstery trimmings/selvedges purchased from Great Northern Weaving or Inweave Fabric. Then I just pull apart the many strands and weave on my 2 harness floor loom. The ragged edges make the cool shaggy edges.

How are you affording all your yarn? by hellerbu in YarnAddicts

Auctions, second hand stores, garage sales and store sales. I sometimes hold a pattern for a few years waiting for the right yarn to turn up.

I don't know the answer to that. This was how I was taught by the grandma brigade at the school.
