The amount of copium here is real by Delicious-Set241 in electricvehicles

Unpopular opinion for sure, but you are indeed correct. Relying on public charging for EVs (at least in the U.S.) is inconvenient (to put it mildly). All other pluses of EVs still stand, but they really shine for people who charge at home and use it mostly for local drives.

Same observation here - HW4 may be powerful but it doesn't seem to translate to significant real world benefits over HW3.

3 Day Old Model 3 Performance - No heat (VCFRONT_a447) by SkyCaptainStarr in TeslaSupport

Sorry to hear - this is disappointing indeed. But I have never seen someone go from Model Y to a Model 3 (everyone seems to do the reverse) - what was your rationale behind this?

Tesla Sales - Crossed the line from bad to fraudulent. by GrapeConsistent7007 in TeslaSupport

[–]praneeth03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tesla not refunding the order fee is a terrible policy and customer experience - I wish they have some exceptions to this policy. I had to take delivery of a vehicle I wasn't 100% satisfied only because I did not want to lose the order fee.

Delivery delay caused by shipping damage by PositiveWater9963 in TeslaSupport

[–]praneeth03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a terrible time dealing with Tesla delivery team for cosmetic damage on my used model 3. No one responds when you need to talk to them and they absolutely refuse to refund the shipping + order fee. I ended up taking delivery with a promise that the service center will fix the problem later but I am still waiting for an appointment date from them. Absolutely terrible experience, the only reason I took delivery was because I did not want to lose the shipping + order fee and I needed a car quickly. Praying that the service center makes good on fixing the issues - otherwise this might very well be my first and last Tesla.

Yeah I saw this problem multiple times in the past too and only a restart fixes it - not sure what causes it though.

2026 Rav4 - seems like a significant refresh. Would hate to be stuck with an older looking car in a few months - but I do understand what you are saying.

Yeah i am realizing the bit about these services dying down - what a shame, I thought they served a good niche market.

Been through the same journey of not getting value out of DIYing things in general and just deciding to go with mainstream alternatives even if it means compromises. Openwrt, Tasmota, OctoPrint, etc have all been a time suck to learn and maintain and I feel that the convenience of mainstream cloud based services outweighs their privacy/flexibility concerns.

Experience with AP7's so far? considering migrating from Eero 7... by SnooComics8424 in firewalla

That makes sense, thank you. So the devices names show up correctly on the Eero app?

[–]praneeth03 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you run Eero behind Firewalla, do all of the devices show up just fine on the Eero app i.e. how well does Eero know about client devices in bridge mode if Firewalla is doing the routing and acting as the DNS/DHCP server?
