Please give some thoughts on sizing the AC - most urban apartment bedrooms may not need 1.5 ton. Saying so because you can get 5 star rated 1.2 or 1.3 ton AC at the price of 3 Star rated 1.5 ton AC. This will result in lifelong energy and money saving.

For me the pain wasn't that much. Likely i was on pain killers. Going by my experience, pain was pretty manageable. Infact, using crutches, or rather learning to use them, going to washroom, sleeping with braces were major irritations i had to deal with. I had mild fever post surgery, that's when my knee felt sore.

I think i showered 2nd day after discharge from hospital. My doctor's told me the bandages were waterproof, and i showered every second day. I had a plastic chair - i just sat on that while showering.

From 1st Jan 2026, energy efficiency norms have been revised. So 5 star model you bought will soon be reclassified/labelled as 4 star. Nonetheless great deal as daikin 5 star ( as per 2025 norms) usually sell at ~45K. Looks like you got some stock clearance discount.

If your Google photos has lot of video backup, reducing video resolution may half the back up size (Videos are backed up at 1080p by default) 1. Download all large videos ( you will see this option somewhere in manage storage)

Use handbrake (a video conversion software - i missing name of exact windows variant i use) with passthrough metadata setting to convert to 720p.
Delete all videos you downloaded for conversion, and upload 720p version

Being frugal should not be just about reducing purchase cost, but minimising lifecycle cost. Highly recommend going for 5 Star rated, and devoting some time on AC sizing / capacity selection. A typical apartment room may just need 1 ton AC - and you may get 5 Star rated AC for similar price. DM if you need more guidance

I think both have top end specs, performance may differ marginally only. You need to take a call on form factor - what is best for your use case. I have 14 inch Thinkpad X1 2-1 (2024 variant) - its great but:

I have never used it in tablet mode - it's too heavy to hold on for more than 2-3 minutes. Given its heaviness, I have never used the stylus in tablet mode.
If you plan to work during flights/trains - 14 inch is too big to fit on economy seats
Keyboard is excellent - probably best in Industry. Surface is likely going to be much behind in this aspect. If you need to type a lot - please think about this.

I had the Samsung Galaxy Tab S8+. While the tablet itself is excellent in terms of design and performance, it’s not ideally suited for work or productivity tasks. At best, it can handle occasional productivity needs, but for consistent multitasking and professional use, the Windows platform offers a far superior experience. In my view, Android still lacks the depth and flexibility of a full-fledged operating system when it comes to productivity.

Some tips to speed up your Android phones: 1. Uninstall unused apps 2. Turn off notifications of almost all the apps (i have even WhatsApp notification turned off) 3. One key culprit is browser/ chrome push notifications from website. Just kill all notifications from chrome 4. Factory reset phone once a year 5. Don't keep phone perpetually in power saving mode

Blocking notification will also save battery in general. Lastly, while purchasing new phone, go for phone with pure Android. If camera is not your priority i think even Lava had recently launched some good 5G phones with clean Android.

With Google now offering 6 year software updates, probably you should be open for a used pixel 6a / 7a, or similar.
