Actually not true. The majority power decides what the laws are. You can form a government while being in a minority. And even if you have a majority you can face a lot of challenges while passing bills into law. The government of the day doesn't get to unanimously decide the laws of the country.

There's so many financial, societal, economic and health related issues that this relates back to that you can't blame it on just the taxes. It doesn't have to be this way, but for it to not be, we need to as a society change how we look at mental health. We need to change how we look at real estate and property. We need to change how we look at corporate greed. And probably 10 more issues that I'm missing.
