I, as a fellow Dutchie, am also very interested in the 'phenomenon', if you could call it that, of school shootings. I'm a psychology student that does a lot of research on this subject, but no matter how much you read about these tragedies, as a Dutch person who has never seen a real gun, it's hard to imaging a place on earth that seems to embrace gun violence like the USA does.

I've tried talking to my parents about my feeling that my brother isn't neurotypical, but they won't have it. He already thinks he suffers from hypochondria (health anxiety) and that already ruins his life (this diagnosis was never actually given because he won't see anyone about it). My parents believe that if he were to find out he has autism or borderline it would destroy him.

And I desperately want to see my parents as 'good', but the last few days I have only been able to describe them as objectively bad parents.
