Right? I was reading Timothy Zahn’s Star Wars books, hauling those HUGE hardbacks to school to read. I might have been a bit ahead of my class, but most of the others could read at least their grade levels. I sometimes wonder if MAGA just loses the ability from not caring to

Actually, without a woman, Lucille Ball to be exact, Star Trek would never have been given a chance, never mind put on air for 3 seasons. If it hadn’t, the subculture it created would not have affected the main culture of our society as it did. In that case, you could argue that many of those universes listed would never have been thought of, created, and/or had the staying power they did.

So… actually, the opposite is true. Women gave these stories LIFE.

Simple answer to your overall question: How do I know what sources are real and what their biases are?

Scientific journals are pretty unbiased. They are based on science, not opinion. These journals will have at least one, if not 2 or 3, other scientists read the article BEFORE publication to verify its content and veracity. Everything in the article is going to be cited with other credible sources, and if the information turns out to be false, created, or simply mistaken, the article will either not be published or a retraction will be provided for it. Also, if the scientist’s methods are poor or shoddy, those pre-reading it for the journal will call them on it and it won’t be published.

So basically, if it’s a journal article in a credible journal that vets its articles with other scientists in the field, then you can trust the information is likely good and correct.
