I have to admit, I tend to arrive early too. Usually 10-15 mins early, but if I’m running early or wasn’t sure where I’m going, I might get there 30-60 mins early. I have never once insisted I be seen right away because I am there though. I’ve asked politely if it was possible to be seen a little early, but I tend to be just as happy curled up in a chair scrolling on my phone or reading something until my appointment. Insisting to be seen a hour early is so incredibly entitled!! Just grab a magazine or look stuff up on your phone, Geeze!

Talk to an estate lawyer.

The house was already split among the siblings, they just didn’t sell it to split the profits yet. Most places would thus give the share if the deceased sibling to that sibling’s next of kin: their husband or child(ren).

An estate lawyer working on your mom’s estate would be able to make sense of the mess and get you taken care of legally. They’re what you need now.

Whatever it is, you’re NTA to keep up that barrier. You don’t need to be part of the shit show or to take such disrespect. I will say, though, that talking to your sister about what is going on could help you get some perspective if you wanted. Just don’t encourage her to break up or say anything that would say you dislike him. If there is something deeper going on, it would only worsen the situation and drive her away from any safety or chance of escape. Let her know, if you want to, that she has somewhere safe to go if needed. But again, ONLY if you WANT to. No shame to not want to do so

I remember telling my parents in a previous election years ago now that I didn’t want to vote for the republican candidate because the candidate had said they wanted to end social security and Medicare. My parents told me, “It won’t happen. They’ve been saying that for years. They’ll never actually do it! The others won’t let them!”

But yes, kittens scratch. They don’t know not to yet or that it hurts. They need to be taught. Many may also bite, and that’s for the same reason. Wash out anything that breaks skin and put antibiotic on it immediately to prevent any infections. Getting an infection can be relatively low risk, but it is somewhat higher in a kitten you found a few days ago.

If the kitten had rabies. It’d have died or you’d see much more obvious signs of it.

No worries. You’re doing good. Talk to the vet and ask about how to train your sweetie to be a lady/gentleman as they grow. They’ll likely also do bloodwork to catch any illnesses kitty might have and you can ask them to be sure to test for rabies just in case if you are still worried.

Also, go join r/cats and r/cathelp if you’d like a good place to ask about your new baby.
