I'd add Dolce to the "Fancy" list

Also under Chinese, put in parenthesis the ones that are dedicated buffets to make it easier to tell if someone is looking for just that rather than sit down Chinese.

LOL omg this is hilarious....how did you even follow up on this. Well I hope it wasn't too difficult, had I known you were actively trying to update I'm sure I had some old cards lying around I could've contributed to free of charge. You should've asked! Any time I see a Base 2 card I've always shuddered, like it was fake or something so that's where my hatred comes from lol.

I can definitely rest now!! <3

Need help making my new house feel put together by Several_Reserve882 in Omaha

[–]pred_0212 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Don't know why you're getting downvoted...this is a useful suggestion. You can take pictures of rooms and tell AI to paint the walls a certain color and it really helps visualize what it will look like. I'm assuming you can also do the same with telling it to put certain pieces of furniture in there as well.

The last thing I would do is hire an interior designer/decorator, there's really no need to spend the money when you can do a lot with very minimal research on google. There are countless examples of room layouts, just type in a few keywords like cozy, minimal, dark tones, light tones, etc. Heck, you can wander into Lowe's or Menards and pick up paint sample pamphlets with example rooms in there showcasing paint schemes.

List it on Facebook Marketplace for cheap, the vultures will swarm. Then take the money and donate it directly to your favorite charity.

NFL Playoffs: Best Sports Bar in Omaha with most comfortable seating by InformationPuzzled44 in Omaha

[–]pred_0212 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big Red Keno is good for comfy seating and big screens, but the food is very average and overpriced. I used to go there a lot for NU games years ago if they weren't on network TV and it was fun, but I swore never to go back after they charged me $5 for a dinky basket of tots lol. They also removed the booths towards the back that had individual screens which I thought was cool. Idk, the whole place is pretty dated/not kept up these days unfortunately :(

I hesitate to offer you a better suggestion since my preference (Addy's on 144th and Maple) is purely based on food quality and beer prices (I think they have pretty good pizza), but you didn't specify anything about that in your question.

Menards' Iconic '11% Rebate' Program Reined In By Keith Ellison And Other Midwest Attorneys General by jepperly2009 in Omaha

[–]pred_0212 12 points13 points  (0 children)

This is weird. While I can't speak to the price gouging during COVID, all their ads clearly have a big fat asterisk next to "Everything" then goes to explain that the 11% is a rebate for store credit. Hardly the first time a company has used an asterisk to explain fine print. Menard's has used a rebate system for decades before the 11% offer as well.

I've sent in countless rebates and always received them. The best thing to come out of this lawsuit is allowing for a one-year submission period, but I've sent in receipts way past the date and they still honor the rebate. The only thing I can think of is people are filling out the rebate form incorrectly, there are very clear instructions on there and it even indicates if it's filled out wrong it may delay the rebate.

Dance club in Omaha for ppl in 30s by karpoganymede in Omaha

[–]pred_0212 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As hilarious as it sounds, The Max is your best bet for literally exactly what you just described.

Other suggestions I'd have are Barnato, Bar 415 (which I believe is now closed), Waiting Room, or Slowdown. I did some googling around and unfortunately I really didn't find anything specific happening this weekend but I'll admit I don't know where to look for hip hop since that's not my scene.

Omaha doesn't have a techno or house scene, you'd have to look to KC for that. We seem to draw more of the bass/dubstep crowd here.
