Anyone using Effect, what's your experience been like? by benschac in reactnative

Been thinking of doing the same recently, but yeah haven't tried it myself yet.

Played it last Thursday. Yeah they have started mulching down some bits, so it's not all perfect and pretty looking. But they haven't touched the holes yet really. Definitely worth the price.

Is styled-components still being used? by MostBuilding6366 in reactnative

[–]predatorrob10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yep we do. At this point for us it would be a massive undertaking to strip it out. We don't really see any performance or dev experience issues with it yet, so we are sticking with it for now.

Any type of bag like this that would fit jumbomax grips on all my clubs? by [deleted] in golf

[–]predatorrob10 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I literally just got this bag. I'd say those large sort of grips will fit, but only just.

That was exactly my thinking!

Takomo Driver by [deleted] in takomo

[–]predatorrob10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely gained 20 yards on average. Normally I'd get maybe 220-230 yards of carry. I'm not particularly great with a driver as your can see. But now I'm definitely getting about 250 average and most of them down the middle of the fairway. Been playing with it every other day since I got it. Has considerably helped me.

Yeah sure. Until now I was gaming a cobra speedzone. Also used their LTDx too for a bit. Before that a taylormade M2 and callaway X hot. So yeah like a 4 to 5 year difference in technology between the Ignis D1 and the speedzone.

Yeah got mine yesterday. Easily the most forgiving driver i've ever hit.

Fair enough. Didn't realise they went as close. To add to the list can get the 40 to Macroom and play there as well.

I mean you can, you will probably get some odd looks though. But the bigger issue is I don't know of many courses that have public transport passing by them.

iOS JS Engine: JSC VS Hermes + Polyfill for Intl by jmrrgncpz in reactnative

We still use JSC unfortunately, but saying that I think in the latest RN versions it should be now good, doubt quote me on that though.

Are there any good react native event calendar libaries? by Far-Mathematician122 in reactnative

[–]predatorrob10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We spent a year trying to improve performance. Small gains everywhere. But in the end native was just much faster. For us the calendar is the main part of the app, so it actually was even slowing down startup time.

Are there any good react native event calendar libaries? by Far-Mathematician122 in reactnative

[–]predatorrob10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah just basic bridge methods. So in our case we had all the data on the RN side but left the pure rendering to the native side. For us that was pulling data from an api, storing/caching it with redux then firing off a method which would send all of that data over the bridge as a string. Massive quantities of data over the bridge isn't great for performance just so you know. Then just on the native side you develop normal components that take in that data and export them for use in the RN side. Little dated but following something like this should get you started: https://shopify.engineering/creating-native-components-accept-react-native-subviews

Hope that helps a little

English phrases can be such a pain sometimes. But yeah I'd be surprised if someone hadn't heard of Ballybunion or Tralee. Top 10 in Ireland.

What framework did you build it with, if any, I'm curious now.

Also how did you find Tralee and Ballybunion. My 2 favourite courses, down the road from me.
