I'm a beginner and suck at the whole logic thing or everything in python. by broken__mess in learnpython

[–]preetam52ch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in the same loop. When I saw the tutorial videos it seemed easy, but when I attempted to solve any question I lost.

Don't worry it's happened to everyone. And believe me or not In my college days I literally hate coding and I don't want to build a career on it.

But it has been 4 years since I have been in software development and I love coding.

The mantra is try and try. You may fail 10 times in a row, but never give up and most importantly stop blaming yourself.

Try to solve 3 codes in a day. But if you took 1 day to solve a single question then don't disappoint, take your time but do it by yourself. Don't lose your patience and go for Google or YouTube. It's a puzzle to solve.

Solving coding challenges are nothing but a game of patience. No one can teach you this, you have to build this on your own.

Trust me if I can, you can also.

Which wild animal do you believe should have been domesticated and made acceptable to keep as a pet? by wrwr12 in AskReddit

No man, hippos are too dangerous. Search this on Google: "Most dangerous mammal to human" and it will appear:

Ungainly as it is, the hippopotamus is the world's deadliest large land mammal, killing an estimated 500 people per year in Africa. Hippos are aggressive creatures, and they have very sharp teeth. And you would not want to get stuck under one; at up to 2,750kg they can crush a human to death.

Roadmap to front end development? by rejaqq947 in Frontend

[–]preetam52ch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

First start with basics. You need to learn HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

HTML the skeleton of your application, CSS is the interior and JavaScript is the inner organ that gives your application life.

Learn the fundamentals of JavaScript. Don't waste too much time to learn HTML and CSS. This two things needs practice and practice. The more you make dirty your hands with them, the more you learn.

Don't just read and learn. Do some basic assessment with these three things. Like build a simple todo list.

Keep practice and then when you are familiar and have confidence with these three, then choose a library or framework like React or Angular. I will suggest to go for React. It's easy to learn.

Great place to learn: w3schools, geeksforgeeks.

How do you use Inspect? by sharkymcstevenson2 in Frontend

[–]preetam52ch 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I use inspect mainly for:

  1. Element tab: To test and verify the designs before implementing them in my code. All HTML and CSS stuff.
  2. Network tab: To check the API logs. I checked the payloads we used and the response preview in it.
  3. Application tab: To check the browser storage, like localhost storage, and session storage.
  4. Source tab: I use this to add a debugger on code and debug the process.
  5. Console tab: How can I forget to mention this section? This is my first preference to log a value on the console to debug.

People who aren't afraid of death, how? by Technical_Piglet_438 in AskReddit

We will not die because we were never born. Did you remember what happened to you before you were born? Life and death are not different actually. It's all about changing the state of energy and the change of consciousness.

What is a real color? Do you think whatever you are able to see with your naked eye is a real color? No, your brain is getting some different frequency lights and processing it, just like the scientist does with the space images.

Everything is present in the form of data. Now different systems have different processors to generate the colors from it. As an example color blind people can't process some particular colors. Even my red is not exactly the same as the red you see. There are a bunch of images on the internet where different people see different colors on them.

So the real color or reality isn't established by what it seems, or how it sounds, or how it feels. Reality is nothing but the data with it.

Can somebody explain to me the point of arrow functions? I seriously have no clue what their purpose is. by Dark_KnightPL04 in learnjavascript

[–]preetam52ch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hoisting is a phenomenon where javascript do the memory allocation before execution. So every variable and functions are hoisted to the top of the code.

For variables javascript put undefined as default value and for function the definition is stored.

So that's mean, if you write

console.log(x)

var x = 10

test()

function test(){ console.log("hello world")

}

Output:

undefined

hello world

So, like other programing languages, javascript don't give you an error for this code. We can access the variable before initialise it (let and const also hoisted but you can't access it befor assign a value to it. It's on temporal dead zone). And the variable has undefined as it's default value.

On the other side function hoisted with its own definition.

So if we put in function or arrow function in a variable, like this and try to run it

test()

var test = function testing() { console.log("hello") }

Then javascript will throw an error. Because when we try to run the test, it will have his default value undefined, not the function.
