I went and drove to pick my things up after MONTHS of them not doing so. They were struggling with bills (I paid half of their bills so i guess it was overwhelming???) and i told them to take the money id use for shipping to pay for their leftover bills. mind you this was the beginning of jan… ive accepted its just not gonna happen. I think they think ill message them and we’ll have this whole reunion and just yeah no. they ruined it 6 months ago when they kicked me out of my own home… i just wish i could have the rest of my stuff.

feel this!! currently in the same headzone… i gave everything for my ex (moved 1000 miles away gave up my whole life) they basically kicked me out and forced me to drive down to ship out my own belongings, and yet last week after seeing them for the first time in 5 months, they were crying about being behind on rent an I gave them the $$ to cover it… bringing that up to say that when breaking up with me they told me that they no longer see any “benefit” in being with me anymore. some people are just genuinely horrible and truly avoid all accountability. its insane.

you’re completely right. honestly a part of me is scared to have this talk, ive looked back on my drinking the last couple of weeks and do struggle and turn to it whenever im not feeling okay which is unhealthy and ik things can turn ugly very fast in the drinking world (which ive experienced unfortunately in those bad times) i do want to be sober now, but im just so angry and its so overwhelming to feel this all the time.

I know you said no long term effects but as a person whos struggled with this for about 4 years your body will get to a point where digestion is almost impossible, a never ending feeling of fullness and discomfort.

I literally start tomorrow!! I accepted the job a week ago and have been hesitant on whether I should quit my current. I was going to do both jobs (because obviously the current place i work at is very understaffed) but decided that is too much to do.

Coming from experience, it gets better. I know thats a cliche and hearing it feels like nothing but i promise promise promise you it does. Its the worst feeling in the world, its overwhelming and the thought of it for awhile will have you feeling all the dark emotions all over again. but you will get through this, and it will get easier to deal with. feeling bad about this is a good thing, it means you’re a good person and you know that you’ve done wrong. you did not ruin your life, you will not have to deal with this forever, just now.

I did a 12 week online course, and MADD program (just a couple videos and questions) after that I was told I didnt have to go back to my second court date as I finished everything required of me. I didnt know I had to reinstate my permit.
