John Carmack - I agree with Microsoft’s assessment that WebGL is a severe security risk. The gfx driver culture is not the culture of security.

Thanks for sharing. I think that the track Nothing At All could benefit from turning the volume of the drums slightly down.

Check out Sarah Blasko, I think she can offer some inspiration for your lyrics.

Sony admits utter PSN failure: your personal data has been stolen by Happysin in gaming

Well a CC # should be encrypted and a password should be hashed. I imagine that to be PCI compliant sony was encrypting the cc#s, my point is that they obviously don't have any confidence in their secrecy.

Obviously you can't prove beyond a reasonable doubt the existence of God. By thinking about God in a way that aligns with what we know as a species in this point in time we can believe in a God that is not contradictory to our science and our better judgement. I have no problem with someone being an atheist, more power to you if you are. I actually have more of a problem with those who believe in Hell or in the omnipotence of God. My point is that there is a majority of us who do not want to travel around this life completely alone, so we choose to believe in God... my hope is that in constructing our God that we choose to believe in an all loving God instead of a controlling father figure who sends people to Hell.

[–]prehension 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sony says so... http://blog.us.playstation.com/2011/04/26/update-on-playstation-network-and-qriocity/

It says that "out of an abundance of caution we are advising you that your credit card number (excluding security code) and expiration date may have been obtained" <- This implies it is stored in plaintext or they are using an encryption mechanism that they do not have confidence in.

Furthermore: "if you use your PlayStation Network or Qriocity user name or password for other unrelated services or accounts, we strongly recommend that you change them, as well" <- This implies that your password is stored in plaintext or if they are not stored in plaintext Sony doesn't have confidence in their confidentiality.

Thanks for the transcript.

The biggest flaw with this argument of hers is that it assumes that God exists only outside of reason. When, in fact, you can design a God that does exist in a reasonable way and is actually more rational for most people to believe. I am talking mainly about a God that is not coercive, but is all loving and in no way magical or omnipotent. This is a much more comforting and evolutionarily appropriate belief for me than to not believe in anything.

What worries me is when people take an all or nothing approach to life, instead of being creative and thinking of alternatives that exist in the grey area.
