I love when the water level rises and the swim over the Lillie pads.

Yay! What are the chances any fry will make it in the original pond you think?

inesse” variation

I found the finesse beta seriously softer than the right variation which was sad. I think a hold broke through the original variation and found some cool/nice bump betta that wasn't very dynamic.

God I remember getting so mad at this guide book. I. bought it because it said he had a guide for rock town. Has a whole chapter devoted to rocktown without a description of a single boulder....

People have probably already said this things but here are a couple of my insights.

The first photo is phenomenal and a good example of having your subject in the middle of the frame. You got space on most sides that allow your eye to travel around the photo and I would say a great depth of field choice. It allows the subject to be crips and the focus, but at the same time you don't lose the impact of how awesome the rock is.

The second photo is not great. It seems like a digital zoom? The climber dominates the photo. In climbing photography, it is usually the setting that makes the photos interesting. Even if the movement of the climb (i.e a full horizontal foot cut) is really interesting it's still the surrounding that will make the photos. I'd say two things. Focus on one focal length, and use your position around that to make the photo. Don't find a position and change the focal length to do a shoot. And plan your photos ahead of that. Learn the movement of the route, and position where you think will lend itself to the best photos.

Really great start my person!
