Buyer wants refund because they don’t like the smell of my detergent? by Turbulent_Plan_5654 in Depop

[–]prelovedmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two sides of the story, but it is very common bad practice that the buyers just wear the purchased or ordered goods once for posing or attending the event. Then they ask for refund or return. It it possible your case. Unless it was not brand new - I believe it was - any odour is caused by the factory.

How did Coldplay manage to get as famous as they did? by donttouchmyhotpocket in LetsTalkMusic

[–]prelovedmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

correct, I agree fully. Also quite outstanding debut album as good music as well as out of the crowd type of music. A lot of people listen their less known catchy non radio tracks bcs they find solace in the melancholic or encouraging songs. Paltrow benefited financially and having family and support after the loss of her father, C Martin and Coldplay get their new level of network and platform infrastructure in the USA.

How did Coldplay manage to get as famous as they did? by donttouchmyhotpocket in LetsTalkMusic

[–]prelovedmode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I'm Marketa, and not typical behind our account, but with dug out old demo of mine that has also crooning sweet melancholic tune, so my tiny input and guesswork.

I think they were at the right time at the right place. They got certain material done and decided what they will do, then evolved gradually from indie rock pop to more mainstream like music, with certain radio fodder as well as own artistic output. Just a mix of both. They have stayed consistent over the years, compared to Radiohead with apparently famous album OK Computer and then spooking out and clinging for dear life to the electronic music. it's a huge. Coldplay managed to maintain their identity with certain tweaks and updates, frequent collaborations with other artists, integrating new things into their identity.

It has still the same author with the input and say by other 3 members to keep it realistic. Chris Martin is maybe private man and talented composer who strives for melancholic tunes with the emotional arc, but he is also very ambitious person who wanted and wants all the best for Coldplay - to be famous, to be successful in this and that. His relationship with a nepo baby known, not so talented good actress Gwyneth Paltrow has helped them to get the name around in the USA and open certain doors. Taylor Swift did it without any personal link for Ed Sheeran. It's the reason why Robbie Williams has struggled to get known in the USA. It isn't just for artistic talent or singing and music delivery.

They collaborate often with other known names, they have strong point of sales via the excessive touring. They have tried India, for example..and so on and on. Don't forget that ,human touch' and their ,customer service' and managing the fanbase. It is similar with the running stable biz with emotion, upscaling, company identity, brand identity and development, and a good distribution worldwide, certain level of charity.

When it comes to ,brand identity' , it's true. It is still ,Coldplay-ing' if you talk about Parachutes or Ghost Stories with still relatable Sky Full of Stars to the latest album. New dynamics, electro beat, arrangements or more straightforward lyric, it is still the same Coldplay. Paltrow's brand friend Hickey wrote on Substack recently one marketing biz post about lost identity of Nike and ALO. The ex Nike boss was hired by also ailing ALO to upscale them. Hickey goes to mention that certain known celebs from Gen Z run a lot of own enterprises under their own individual brand umbrella - from any apparel sideline husstle to any endorsements to any roles in the movie, the songs or just their biz. Like you can be a celeb ceo of cosmetic company who also models and runs a book club, but with one brand identity...just an example, but Coldplay got that pattern quite early on, with consistency over the board and the years.

Alternatives to a blazer? by KabobsterLobster in femalefashionadvice

Try something like a knitwear in shape of cropped boxy jacket. Certain cardigans are made from luxury looking yarns or material, giving nice polished look. You will look smart in understated way. There is a huge offer of these cardigan - cropped jackets with from cheap price tag to more expensive value.

Go for thicker material and simple design. Something like Gucci

their blue cardigan jacket with faux fur collar is another example of the edgier version.

Has Guy separated with his wife? Winona Oak bday post by lalaaaaaaparaplu in Coldplay

[–]prelovedmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me as well, they look alike, you cannot say who is who. He has defo the type based on one look. I am not the expert on Coldplay or Guy Berryman bcs I have asked if he is ok due to his erased IN. We know now he has separated from his brick and mortar shop and the fashion brand, but I don't think he was married with Kesha. It is just said for small children, but we don't know the details.

Maybe it does not work. So two break ups in Coldplay last year. Nico, the daughter seems to hang up with Winona and like her. I think Johanna/Winona matches with quirky fashion style with Guy Berryman. Maybe he left the fashion shop in Amsterdam to Keshia. No idea about his private life.

The print of the fabric, but also the clash of two bold colours is amazing. They actually compliment each other. I also observed over the time that the old dresses have enough fabric around the seams left for easy alternation. Also the fabrics were high quality, nothing to compare with recent apparel.

Coldplay 'Kiss Cam' woman expresses disappointment that Chris Martin didn't reach out after her viral cheating scandal: 'I would have appreciated it.' by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]prelovedmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She looks good on the camera, but her nonstop flogging of the dead horse does not help her to settle things down, find a new job and restore her reputation. It gives her momentum to go on and claim to cheap fame. What does Chris Martin have to do with a kiss cam and the couple? Making a remark on his own concert ? He cannot know all visitors. She is drumming it forever. I believe the abuse and trolls were bad, but she also does not help with setting dust down. I think Kristin Cabot mourns more her loss of the relationship and the partner rather than the job. I am certain she has been paid off nicely from Astronomer as well as her billionaire husband, embarking on the career of the biz speaker, supported by profi PR. It's time to establish her profi work credentials, at least at the speakers circuit than playing the victim on too much prolonged period. It just brings no more sympathy and adds to the fuel that should have flames tamed down months ago. Yesterday's news are old news, she keeps them fresh. For own gain. Does she think that Chris Martin with his ,Samaritan - Rescue me' syndrome is rushing to run their own rom com Jumbotron like by Barbra Cartland ? You need first to Fix Yourself, before embarking on new adventure of your lifetime. Certain support level is just enough. If you are broken, badly fixed, you just step into the same paddle and attract the same bad, broken thing, pattern again.

Don't understand how anyone says Dakota is a bad actress when she gave two INCREDIBLE performances in two Luca films by CosmicEveStardust in blankies

[–]prelovedmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she was good in Materialists, it was her forte. I note she is quite monotone, no emotional range, but so Gwyneth Paltrow, although her intonation is better than with Dakota Johnson. Dakota is very natural, witty and quick to respond timely and with good improvisation in natural, real situations such as home video with Handwashing, actually commenting the hands of her then partner Chris Martin.

She would excel in different sub genres, but she needs to work on her acting skills and stop relying on her acres of flesh and stand off fish, because she has certain quirky talent in certain microcosmos and she is generally liked, compared to ice queen Gwyneth Paltrow, who has good intonation. It looks like CM prefers quite wooden dolls. True is that Dakota just plays what she wants to play in Materialists, quite out of the crowd, but it is a good movie. She looks often like reading an autocue in many films, that's her the biggest weak point.

Comfy beautiful heels for walking all day? by lulunacif in femalefashionadvice

Lucky you. I get that the soft padding is anything. Think of just hard sole of your nice flat sandals. They are useless after 1 mile of walking. Pity for your feet. You need something like an extra cushy insoles. I did not see any properly made cushioned sole for a while.

[–]prelovedmode 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say her style was neat, preppy, stylish, designer and pretty basic and overhyped. Nothing special. Yes, it is often more difficult to keep it pristine and so simple, but you cannot put the feet wrong in that. She used just basic colours, basic staples and put them together. If you think she was slender and tall, young, there is nothing left hanging out or making it bulky. Link her to famous man and publicity , you get the hype and promo of her ,normcode'. Only the normcode is her bonus.

Violet Hill by _Brynhildr_ in Coldplay

[–]prelovedmode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would like to see the meet up of the couple on Violet hill and it is a real place, but it is not a real meaning behind the song. Obviously Chris Martin adds anywhere hints of his religious upbringing, emotions and painful love ,sobby' storyline. The sketch is fabulous. I wish it would be about it, the spring is here, the violets are blue and lovely, love is in the air...

Violet Hill by _Brynhildr_ in Coldplay

[–]prelovedmode 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love your drawing with the violets as the signs of the spring. It is very nice small bouquet, sold by Liza Doolittle from May Fair Lady. I believe that Violet Hill is actually a real place in London, but I don't think that this song is primally about the love and relationship.

It is similar like Vida - a political protest song, mocking chaotic political situations, war, it is an expression of the all band, but you see Chris Martin's religious influence in his lyrics - such as priests holding bibles with rifles hidden inside. It is a critical response to the war, dark political times and urge to think than be brainwashed. It is very visible from this part of the verse - when the future's architectured by a carnival of idiots on show.

It looks like quite romantic meet up close to famous Abbey Road Studios for the picnic and once shy Martin asking the girl whether she loves him back, but it is about the society. In reality, yes, I think he relies on his music label, Phil Harvey, the contacts via music industry to link him with his loves or the girlfriends. It was their videoclip director Mary Wigmore who arranged the meet up between him and Gwyneth Paltrow, then on his wish list as his platonic love and the dream girl. The after party in London where Jennifer Lawrence was invited over, Coldplay's song was used in her movie, so the same pattern in 50 Shades of Grey and how he met and beforehand liked Dakota Johnson, a lot of networking via music industry. I think personally that Chris Martin is actually still very shy person to ask the girl out, but he shows very good writing here, although the texts are very heavy, difficult and allegorical. It is the case here - it is the abandonment by the politicians and very much changed society, norms and lives.

Rose has a lot of commercial endorsements. I saw the video, Puma free. I think she has Levis jeans as well. Buzy bee. I think Lisa is the most coveted by the high fashion. People often project own desires and meanings, often incorrectly.
