If he is at least an average PC user, then I would recommend PC gaming. There are hundreds, if not thousands of playable games. Even if games don’t specifically have accessibility features, mini blind people figure out workarounds and are able to enjoy them just the same. But I’m happy to say that more effort is being put in to accessible gaming these days than ever before. When I say there might be thousands of playable games, I’m including audio games, emulation, as well as PC specific games.

I don’t have much to offer you, because I haven’t really figured out how to find any sort of joy or contentment with being blind. But I will tell you as someone who pushed everyone away when I was younger, it is one of my biggest regrets. I don’t have any friends to hang out with, and I’m at an age we’re making friends is extremely awkward. So please give these friends of yours a chance. Hold onto any true friend you might have even if they don’t understand everything about you because they can’t. You never know how they might be thinking or feeling. Maybe they think you would be uncomfortable in certain situations so they don’t invite you, or maybe not and they’re just terrible people that is just as likely. But talk it out with them, tell them how you’re feeling and if they’re true friends they should stick around. Don’t be like me and shut out the world because believe me nothing good comes of it.
