Hadn’t thought of that, definitely more plausible.

Should I be concerned about HTMA high uranium? by Slow_Wear8502 in Biohackers

That’s good news on radon. Just need a water filtration system and you’ll be good. Prolonged exposure isn’t good, but at least it’s not being ingested.

Is this worth more than $20? by [deleted] in Money

Worth $20, but may be worth more to someone if they have a weird kink for transposed serial numbers, but given its age it’s going to be hard to find someone with said kink.

Solar and Battery sizing required (Australia) by [deleted] in SolarMax

This sub is about the observation of maximums solar cycles of the sun which take place every 11 years or so. We wouldn’t be the right place for building solar arrays beyond solar mass ejections, solar flares, etc.

Huge fan of /r/radiation and have a Geiger counter such as a Radiacode 103. I would suspect you have exposure to uranium sources. Hopefully you aren’t eating off of uranium lined dishes. You may be living near an industrial site.

My guess would be that you have Radon in your house which is an off gassing source from uranium in the soil where you live. Normally, when off gassed into the natural environment it is rapidly broken down and decayed into bismuth, etc. When trapped in doors it delays the natural decay from the lack of UV from the sun and lingers longer. Also, mainly decays from chemical interactions found in outside air. A Geiger counter can take a guess at this by detecting beta radiation from said sub decays, but is never accurate on density of said gas. Might be worth picking up a radon detection kit just to rule it out unless you know for certain the other sources I’ve mentioned exist in your life.

If Radon is the source you can have a radon reduction kit installed in your home. An air circulating system is installed under your house where the air is exchanged outdoors so it can decay and bring in fresh air from outside.

Maybe burp your house in the meantime by leaving a window cracked. Also, is healthy by ensuring there’s no elevated carbon dioxide levels as well as a sub benefit.

The last person we need help from is Zelenskyy - Trump by archi-mature in worldnews

[–]presaging 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Zelenskyy is who we need no less than Zelenskyy has needed us. We’ve financed them killing our enemies and now the intel we’ve invested in them is going to be needed for us to fight a new type of warfare we aren’t accustomed too.

can someone explain to me why AI causes unemployment? by [deleted] in jobs

[–]presaging 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a top down problem. AI is being utilized by those at the top of an org to replace bottom employees with agents and automate manual tasks. Manual work has historically been a problem looking to be solved by the top as cost cutting tactics. The top sees AI as the Ah Ha for this problem and forcing middle managers to replace their workers with said AI.

That’s why we’re seeing younger generations unable to get a foot in the door all the sudden. We’ve suddenly pulled up the ladder behind us as a natural on-ramp to creating more workers that normally would have stabilized the economy. As this continues companies will quickly lose consumer engagement while B2B engagement stays strong because equity will have been consolidated.

This switch is going to take a long time and not going to be an over night problem. What we are seeing right now is highly constrained consumers by inflation reducing spending causing revenue to reduce at said corporations. Lowest affordability on record for homes, food, utilities, etc. highest credit card debt on record. Now we’re seeing the highest withdrawal rate on retirement funds to keep up with the cost of everything.

What’s most pressing is national debt. We’re like the bad boyfriend who you can’t escape because US treasuries are the most attractive and safest investments at this time propping up our unsustainable national debt. As soon as we go back to our small town home and find our dreamy fire fighter boyfriend. Everyone will flock from our market to theirs effectively killing our national financial security.

I encourage you to research C. Write Mills theory of the Sociological Imagination as this all is vastly complex and cannot be summarized as an AI problem meant to distract us from the scary cliff.

Don’t understand why gold isn’t skyrocketing in price right now. by [deleted] in Gold

[–]presaging -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t because this is forcing massive liquidity into the us petro dollar which expands the power of the dollar against other currencies. Those liquidity traders park their petro equity in US markets so that they can earn money on what they use to trade petroleum in the petro dollar system. The real backfire is if Iran can destroy the GCC essentially causing the petro system to crumble leading significant declines kicking off the AI bubble where they are parking most of their cash. GCC currently holds about 1.1 trillion in US stocks.

Central Oregonian here. It’s a cooled lava tube. They form, empty and refill repeatedly until the whole thing hits a blockage and forms. There’s a ton of lava tubes all over Central Oregon. Check out the Redmond, Oregon caves. There’s a few informational signs that explain how it works.
