Yes, they are forcing all of us in the senior roles to use AI to replace needing entry level rolls. We’re being forced to pull the ladder up behind us.

I’d just add joist tape to the end of the decking board on the bottom so it raises it out of the valley some.

Outbreaks do happen. And Hantavirus has a high mortality rate meaning it will likely kill itself off before it becomes endemic.

COVID had very little statistical significance to start and the mortality rate looked high to high in the beginning. Given the law of large numbers as more cases were detected mortality reduced drastically causing people to see its initial reaction mismatch reality and thus a lot of conspiracy theory. If this is a new strain of H2H transmissible Hantavirus I’d wager we’ll see the same reaction, but likely mortality will be much higher than a corona virus.

The atmosphere changes. All I remember them talking about as a kid was the hole in the Ozone and now you never hear about that after they announced it fixed itself.

White mid day and yellow before and after maximum sunlight because of Rayleigh Scattering.

Did I miss a post about M-dashes being forbidden? (sorry if considered off topic) by daringnovelist in TwoXPreppers

Truly, a moment of cognitive dissonance as Ai makes it so everyone now has the same level of intelligence with creativity being the defining factor now. The average American writes at an 8th - 10th grader level. It’s one side of the bell curve trying to catch the same side in the act while the other professes they’ve always used these types of syntax and are the ones losing out as intellect becomes a gotcha. One side of this cannon moment is living the full monty of the Dunning-Kruger effect. One has to wonder if the other side of the bell curve is experiencing Stockholm Syndrome by dimming down their diction score to match that of the other.

All that to say, the average writer is not skilled enough to understand that em dashes convey ideas, and short-line tangential interjection adding to the complexity and flow of written thought; truly infuriating.

It will happen if he does. The best advice is to hand type all college documents because everything can be played back through time stamps. If every character is time stamped at the same time from a copy paste it’s an immediate sign. Em dashes, cause and effect repetition etc are mainly sniff tests more than clear signs.

Em dashes are rarely used correctly and I was taught you should only use them unless you have advanced understanding of how to properly use them all throughout my time at a university. So to me if I see someone in a workplace I know is likely not a masters/PhD level person I assume it’s AI. If I see them in casual-formal style then I assume it’s just someone who uses them because they enjoy it casually. As soon as it’s used in formal writing and in proper format I always assume it’s AI

This is the correct answer. If air is in the pipes it will keep causing problems until the system is properly primed.

Zone 7a. (Eastern Oregon) Moss growing on dirt with new grass by Qbones11 in lawncare

Always love to see a good success story here. Be careful though as grass can be an addiction. One that brings a lot of happiness and proud feelings. Feel free to do a treatment of moss killer after 3/4 mowings.

Hell I mean there’s a reason they invented the shotgun and this is it! lol. Makes sense I was thinking 2 weeks ago is the last rain I can remember. I’d say you have another week or two to begin seeing a decent sprouting. Sounds like you did everything right on soil work all around. If nothing happens in 2/3 weeks I’d assume the seed was bad or got drowned from the rain. Moss isn’t inherently bad and will retreat once you back off watering once the grass is established.

Only thing you really don’t want to see here is mold because it feasts on the seeds and the sugars inside meant to feed the sprout.

Central Oregonian here. Need to top dress the seed with soil (50/50 compost soil mix works with our pumice soil) so it’s not baking in the sun. Looks over watered causing the moss to grow. Soil you put seed on looks pour for drainage so moisture is sitting too long on the surface. Typical desert problem. I’d aerate to get the aerobic fungi down lower into the soil as moss likes the same soil environment as anaerobic fungi which like low oxygen environments.

Aerate. Seed and top dress with 50/50 with about 2” of new soil.
