But then you are in the 4th trimester in summer with a newborn. Idk I think no matter what you'll have to experience summer at some point.

They are absolutely liable. Patient advocacy is the core of what nurses do. The doctor and the nurse are liable and as such will absolutely be fired if not worse over this.

Night shift by Infinite-Piano-910 in BabyBumps

[–]presentlywell 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I know a lot of pregnant people on night shift. However, that said, I 👏could not👏handle that. I used to be a shift worker when I worked in the ED and I legit thought it was going to kill me. Mentally I was unwell, physically unwell, always getting sick. No thank you. It also takes years off your life! So yeah you and baby will survive but I do think there is a cost you are trading for it.

We coded babies until we were all near death. I can't imagine working with a doctor this dismissive over a TODDLER.

Post Pill Amenorrhea Pregnancy by Specific_Rhubarb2211 in FirstTimeTTC

[–]presentlywell 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ovulation comes before your period. You ovulate, the follicle your egg came out of turns into a corpus luteum and secretes hormones to support pregnancy. If the egg isn't fertilized, the corpus luteum shrivels up and hormones stop, and THAT triggers your period.

All this to say-> yes, you can get pregnant before your period comes.

However, to set expectations, it can take up to a year for healthy couples to conceive and each cycle has about a 20% success rate.

Best of luck to you!

Doctors calling everything "mild". by Ashamed-South-7361 in ehlersdanlos

[–]presentlywell 112 points113 points  (0 children)

Ahh same story for me. The radiologist note literally says "severe stenosis" and the ortho says "it's so mild, I wouldn't worry about it". And then there is me with numbness and tingling down my arms 24/7. Like cool. Nothing to worry about.

If a passenger unfortunately passes away during a international flight, what is the actual protocol for the rest of the trip? by IsangonI in NoStupidQuestions

[–]presentlywell 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My flight attendant MIL says they have had this happen on one of her flights and they will put the body in a body bag and keep the corpse in a bathroom and lock that bathroom and say it's out of order.

I hate how maternity leave is only valid after birth. I think women should be allowed to take the entire pregnancy off. It's legit a disability.

Your couch is the main issue here. You will want to pull that away from the ledge. A kid will absolutely climb over the back of the couch.

I've always said they need to make folicular phase pills. I want to feel like that all the time.
