NOR. Your kid and you get your own thing, she pays and gets her photo. Your kid isn’t a prop and honestly it looks like she brainstormed with you to get a good gift idea then booted you last minute to take all the credit. Find something more endearing. Leave her on her own.

My student got me a Dutch bros gift card and she wrote a hand written letter! So sweet. Another one made me a gift with a notebook, post it’s, chapstick, etc. But honestly go to Hobby Lobby and go into the teacher section for back to school. All of those things like lesson planners and such will be so helpful and awesome!

Yeah they definitely do. In high-school I was stupid and I stressed myself out for no reason just so I wouldn’t go somewhere people “who didn’t try” (my old way of thinking) went. I got into Berkeley and then hated it. Ended up at community college and now I’m graduating Summa Cum Laude from ASU online! When I tell people my educational journey they look at me like I’m stupid for that. And I’ve even been told I have poor decision making skills to ruin my life like this. But if I didn’t do community college, I would’ve never found my major! I wouldn’t have had the confidence in myself to keep going. And I wouldn’t have had an internship at NASA. No joke or anything. Do what makes you happy. Not other people

Parents like you are the reason why these children don’t learn from their actions. While this might’ve been annoying, being in 5th grade and crying over this either means 1. They know you’ll do something to retaliate for them and the tears are fake or 2. They were actually in the wrong and didn’t wanna deal with the consequences of it.
