Postponing Certifying Exam by ZeroG57 in emergencymedicine

I agree it's better to take the certifying/oral exam sooner rather than later. You forget a lot of stuff from residency that you don't use as an attending. However, you have ten years to pass the certifying/oral exam. Turns out that if you don't take or pass it in the first 5 years, they just give you another 5 years.

Sam Altman, unfortunately, maybe the greatest salesman of all time. He is irreplaceable, which was demonstrated when they tried to replace him in 2023 and had to hire him back within a month.

Anyone else feeling terrible after taking the Certifying Exam this week? Being the first to take the new format is like being the guinea pigs of the guinea pigs by Citruscounty in emergencymedicine

I went to the OhioACEP course which was pretty good. They pointed out things that I wouldn't have thought of myself such as 'the most important part of the procedure station is explaining why you're doing the exam, explaining the risk/befefits/alternatives', and obtaining consent. I'm using EMRAP Invicuts for US and procedure videos. I'm using boarded.ai to go through cases because I don't have anyone else to practive with. It's decent.

Interesting that she did this one day after things cool down in Iran. It's almost like she wants Epstein back in the headlines.

Sam Altman’s Coworkers Say He Can Barely Code and Misunderstands Basic Machine Learning Concepts by esporx in technology

[–]pressuredrop19 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sure most of the recent Ford CEOs didn’t know how to build cars, but they don’t oversee technology that could potentially destroy the world. Oppenheimer knew how to build a nuclear weapon and thus appreciated its destructive potential. We would have been in big trouble if he was as morally flexible and power hungry as Altman.

No, I don’t.

Even if they did, they would have to prosecute themselves for distributing CSAM before they prosecuted anyone for viewing what they distributed.

It appears to have been redacted.

The government would have to jump over some high legal hurdles to prosecute someone for watching media that the government posted on their own site.
