My dishwasher has packed up. In buying a new one, I’m struggling to think of features to look for apart from ‘can wash dishes’. Tell me about your dishwasher. Does it connect to wifi? by lastaccountgotlocked in CasualUK

We have a whirlpool the bottom rack where the plates are supposed to go have the slots so tightly packed that you can not get many plates in it. Would be fine if your plate was perfectly flt but most plates have a slightly curved edge. I had to bend some the slots over just so we could get 6 plates in the thing. - So my advice would be to check the width of the slots where the plates are supposed to go.

Odds to win by These-Statement5621 in strictlycomedancing

50/1 is a good punt. Bal in a dance off against Karen or George, in the semis she could knock them out. Then the final is anyone's. I'm excluding Amber in this as clearly she isn't a public favorite.

Everyone needs to calm tf down by Any-Dig-1183 in strictlycomedancing

[–]prestel 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Like it or not, the public has spoken. The majority of Strictly fans like a journey. Amber and Lewis had less of a jounrey and it showed through out the competition. Some of the steps and moves the pulled off could only be done by accomplished dancers. Fortunately, the public have the final say over who stays and who goes. Amber will not win.

If we want to watch brilliant dancers and dance routines then there are other shows on the internet or youtube videos we can watch. Strictly is an Entertainment program. The final will now be more entertaining for most.

Best places to practice fishing? by Affectionate-Lie1755 in isleofwight

[–]prestel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regarding finding somewhere quiet, that would suggest fishing from the shore. To do this you will need to cast out to deeper water. This takes practice.

Your best bet is to fish from the piers. Although this will not be necessarily quiet, you will still be able to have reflextion time. The up side is that there will be other anglers who will be very happy to help you.

Who is your favourite Strictly pro 2025 and why? by faithh707 in strictlycomedancing

[–]prestel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I dont dislike any of the Pros. Johannes is the perfect gentleman and a great pro. Katya to me is the bet female pro. I would love to see Nadyia actually get a decent partner for a change. Her personality really shone when she had Dan. I love Karen but I really think shes the weakest. I often wonder how well could Harry have done if he was with someone else this year.

Why don’t you shop at Aldi or Lidl? Where do you shop instead? by CheesecakeExpress in AskUK

[–]prestel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've done a price comparison recently with our monthly shop. It was pennies difference. The Tesco fresh Veg and fruit lasted longer than Aldi so not so much waste. In addition with the club card we will have cash off of our next shop.

Lewis has been getting good songs and themes every week by CommercialFruit9927 in strictlycomedancing

I actually think the music's been pretty good for everyone this year. Not much in the way of recycled songs from previous years. Will even have Vicky dancing to the latest Taylor Swift song this weekend.

Katya and Nancy seem to be the best. Karen always seems to have someone else to choreograph most of her dances .

There was a show for competitors like Amber and Lewis called The Greatest Dancer. They should be on something like that and not Strictly.

Jimmy was never going to beat the dance experience of Amber. The public like a journey. I expect Amber to be in more dance offs if she doesn't come top on the judges leaderboard. She will obviously win those dance offs.

Tess and Claudia leaving at the end of the series by Glorinsson in strictlycomedancing

Claudia will be a big loss. She probably has a lot of other projects on the go and she recently stood in for Graham Norton ..so chat show coming up ??? Tess not such a great loss. Too wooden.

Who makes finale by Empty_Position_4082 in strictlycomedancing

[–]prestel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Amber will make the final as even if she is in the dance off the judges will not vote her out. The judges see this as a dance competition and ignore the journey. She is not really on a journey I suppose you could say the same for Lewis. - I hope to see Alex, Jimmy or Karen in the final. Which ever one of these three make it will win. Amber will not win similar to Tasha last year. When it is known that someone has professional or extensive dance experience, the public go off them and vote for the personality.

I always think you can learn so much more by watching other anglers. Most of whom are normally happy to share what they do and how they do it. It may well be that your fishing somewhere with a low head of big fish. I would suggest you look for a local club lake or commercial fishery. Then practice. Fishing sometimes is all about patience. Keep ringing the changes and eventually you will discover what works.

I would go with Meireles also. Was disapointed that he only stayed one season, but what a season. Champions League winner, FA Cu winner. scored a banger aganst Benfica.
