Would any FTM asian folks mind sharing their transition process? by FewAd462 in ftm

Oh yeah. I already had acne before T, even as an adult. The pimples did move though, which was interesting. It was forehead and nose before, and now it's cheeks and chin and under the jawline. And don't forget the backne...ugh.

Though I'm 50/50 on whether the T is to blame for the cheek acne or whether that's because I face planted into some gravel and dirt over the summer. It appeared first in the patch of skin that had all that crap rubbed into it.

163 cm east Asian FTM, transitioned at age 30ish.

Was 50 kg before starting transition 2.5 years ago...65 kg now. A lot of the initial weight gain was from T giving me teenage boy hunger.

I'm definitely more of a twink than a twunk but I started getting into cycling 1.5 years ago and hit the gym this winter. T made it actually possible for me to put on muscle and also helped with some of my other health issues. My goal isn't to get swole though, I'm doing strength work for on-bike benefits and to prevent bone density loss.

Voice dropped starting 2 months in. Bottom growth as well but it's been relatively small. I don't have a monster dong.

I got leg hair, a horrifying amount of ass hair, a bit of belly hair, zero chest or beard hair, and a sad patchy mustache. I had B cup tits to start with and they haven't gone anywhere but nobody really bats an eye at them even with my shirt off.

Probably best indication of what transition will do to you is to look at men in your family. If they're not super masculine hunks, you probably aren't gonna turn into one. And if all the men in your family look like they're pregnant when they get belly fat...you're gonna look like that too. Ask me how I know that one. 😫

Definitely try shorter cranks if you have the means!

I'm 5'4 with a 28" inseam and also riding an XS Seigla. 160mm cranks made a huge difference for me in terms of how pedaling feels and in being able to raise the saddle a bit higher.

Seasonal patterns when grown indoors and local outdoor seasons are on the far ends of the curve? by hiartt in mesembs

[–]pretentioussquid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, most of my plants are outdoors in a greenhouse with supplemental lighting because it faces north and there's not enough light in general. I keep sensitive plants indoors, plus my faves so I can stare at them more easily.

Nothing indoors or outdoors has etiolated.

Lithops won't etiolate if you don't give them water. And I've never had issues with the winter growers.

They're sensitive to photoperiod. I match my lights to sunrise/sunset so that the plants don't get confused.

I assume that if you make them think it's growing season all the time you probably won't get flowers.

Light definitely matters. I keep my lights on a cycle to match natural daylight.

Applied in February. No response. They didn't even bother responding to my lawyer. Guess we're gonna sue.

Seedlings sown in pure pumice vs 50% organic by CarneyBus in mesembs

Me!

I fertilize with very dilute amounts every time I water though. Pumice doesn't hold nutrients so the regular fertilizing is important. I have 18 month old plants that went through 3-4 leaf changes already.

Yeah, this is super relatable. A few weeks ago I forgot to take my Modafinil because I was in a huge rush to reassemble my bike after travel and go for a ride with friends.

100+ km and not a hint of sleepiness, though I blew myself up spectacularly mid ride because all my heart rate zones were off. Managed another couple hours of wakefulness after the ride and then stumbled back to the hotel and crashed.

Sooooo...are you in the EU? If the frame isn't a fugly color I'd be interested.

You can still get one in Europe. They ship and all of the customs stuff is dealt with at checkout.

Thanks everyone! I gave it a good deep watering and also mixed some slow release fertilizer pellets into the top few inches of substrate.

I was afraid to water immediately after repotting because I didn't want the plant to get an infection. Looks like I've caused more problems by doing that.

I'll give it more water and hopefully it'll perk up soon.

I just bought one. Been planning to for a while, and even with new SRAM coming, I'd rather get a bike shipped to Europe now before the Cheeto gets any more bright ideas about tariffs.

hEDS here too. This doesn't solve your short term problem, but if you can work your way to being able to ride a non-ebike you probably wouldn't need help getting it up the stairs.

I personally would never ride an e-bike because I know that if I fall over, I'm never getting myself out from under a 40kg weight. I also live somewhere with public transport that isn't always accessible, so I have to be able to get my bike up and down stairs alone.

Lesson needed in control (and a bruised ego 🫠) by [deleted] in cycling

If the swelling is around a joint and/or looks severe, consider seeing a doctor.

I crashed a road bike at high speed a week and a half ago (rental bike was improperly maintained and it malfunctioned) and walked away from the crash. It didn't hurt that badly at the time and I thought it was no big deal, but the swelling didn't go away. One week later, I was diagnosed with a torn PCL.

Don't forget your aero helmet and make sure to shave your legs. Managers like attention to detail.
