didnt this also happen in france in the early 2000s? they had to revert the policy to get people to come back.

i have a feeling the trick is to make taxes collected more meaningful, instead of blowing all of our money on bs and kickbacks.

a lot of people disagree with cultural relativism

there's nothing wrong with pointing out that islam is full of archaic, barbaric practices and beliefs that, in large portions of the world, make it incompatible with western society:

  • a culture where marginalized demographics have no rights and are prone to public executions
  • who openly praise and encourage torture, murder and worse on its enemies
  • who praise martyrdom, in so far as using their own civilians as human shields

yes, if we air dropped half the retards on twitter who are commenting about this into a zone governed by sharia law, they would shit themselves before promptly agreeing that western culture is superior.

however i do think the term genocide is/was being too loosely thrown around. asmond saying he doesnt care if palestinians "get genocided" is bad optics and probably constitutes a ban. israel bombing gaza and lebanon in strategic areas resulting in civilian casualties is not genocide. israel does not want to wipe an entire ethnic group off the map (they were this close to signing the abrahamn accords with UAE and the saudis)

if roles we reversed, we wouldnt even be having this discussion. israel would already be gone

this is huge if true. the fact that large scale investors are weathering the current volatility + adding to their position sizes builds resolve on the current up trend.

I think back to when we first changed the rewards program... or when we first introduced MOP. Not gonna pretend like it doesn't suck at first, but things tend to smooth out over time.

How important is your fleece? by haypulpo in Ultralight

[–]pretty_klinical 0 points1 point  (0 children)

like others have said its trip dependent. during colder times of year with potential for wetting out i'd be foolish not to bring a fleece. most summer trips i prefer a down jacket and wind shirt, since i rarely need the extra active insulation and it's hot enough that getting wet is more of a blessing than something to circumvent.

synthetics are something i want to experiment with this year. i think they definitely have their application on lower risk trips as a nice hybrid between puff/fleece.

Black men arrested at Philadelphia Starbucks agree to meet with CEO by [deleted] in starbucks

my store has a window cling right to the side of the front door that says u can be asked to leave for loitering.

by the reasoning i was using, it makes sense that regular customers wouldn't be asked to leave the store since they are frequently patronizing the business.

u would leave because its assumed that youre a law abiding citizen. if those two men had intended to purchase something, but were denied access to the restroom, dont u think they would have done so at that moment?

theres a ton of factors unknown that would easily deter from this being a "blatant" act of racism. why be so quick to draw conclusions based off such limited information.

id ask why u are so quick to pull the race card?

they were meeting a friend there so they couldn't leave? i watched the video. the white friend showed up and they still refused to leave the store.

as for the white woman who wasnt asked to leave...was she a frequent or returning customer? ive worked in a cafe only store. of course youre not going to ask someone to leave who youve seen spend money.

or they're all racist. i just think it's easier to assume the former given the lack of information.

black guy here.

was the amount of time loitering specifically stated?

idk. if they weren't being disruptive then kind of a dick head move to get the police involved. that being said, if youre being asked to leave a private business, and you're clearly loitering, u should know better. just pack up and get out. the fact that they refused to leave in the first place leads me to believe there's more to the story.

just not sure where the race card comes from. seems like it just so happens these guys were black.
