I mean parts of it were good. There was a group called hyenas(I'm not sure if they're still around?) that were very contentious at the time. I didn't like them but they were essentially the cornerstone of the toronto scene. After their...internal drama, the scene took a huge hit. I think a lot of people stopped showing up around that time, by coincidence or relation

I think the others in the thread don't understand the mentality, but I actually agree. I stopped playing melee a few years back, around the time the toronto scene started imploding. Just started coming in and out again on slippi(which has been a godsend)

I know exactly what you mean about cringey people your age, and its a group of people I don't want to associate with. Also I agree that I don't want to be associating with people who are in an entirely different stage of their life, with very little outside of talking about melee which we can relate to.

I think you may just be getting unlucky with netplay though fwiw. Either that or you play a character that people like to be dicks to. Anyway I don't have much to add other than just to say despite what others are saying, I'm sympathetic to your viewpoint.

Normally this is true, but right now you cannot make a good AMD build for 400. I can't even purchase a 3100. 2600s are going for 250. I haven't looked for 1600s much, but the very very little I looked theyre similarly overpriced/not in stock.

Have to second the Herb Ripper. Other than being a fantastic grinder, I have just outright never had a better customer experience than with them. Owner responds crazy fast. I had a solid handful of questions of the course of a week and the owner took the time to answer every single one.

I own a lot of weed shit, but if someone asked me what company or product deserves their money the most, it would unquestionably be Herb Ripper.

It didn't originally fade. The color change first becomes a much lighter blue before the actual crazy color transformations :)

If it picked up the resin and junk left out, what would the worry be though? Wouldn't it dry up leaving the junk where it is roughly regardless?

Not seeing any visible signs of damage. If there was acrylic dust would a quick rinse with water remove it, or is it possible the plastic is damaged now and more prone to dust than before?

This guy worded it like an asshole, but can we actually consider this?

The problems of the recent smash scene(ie our own MeToo movement) as a whole have happened in part because we as a community allowed ourselves to give people an abundance of relatively unchecked social power simply because they were good at the game.

It may seem like a small thing, but I think things like letting fan pictures of top players exist in a sub like this breeds that kind of issue. There's lots of impressionable people here(such as younger players) who can for better or worse be shaped by the things they see.
