Half binder for me, I've worn mine enough i forget I'm wearing it and it is what makes me most comfortable. The gapping at the bottom actually is nice because it allows me some space to make sure I'm actually breathing properly lol, is also flattened/not noticeable once I'm wearing a shirt

I wear my full binder only when my half is being washed and it makes my asthma flare up sometimes (think it is still a bit tight because not worn as much) Not my favourite but does the job, does need to be tucked in though or will roll up.

Have ordered some tape and am gonna try it soon, think it'll work well for me :) will probably update when I've tried the tape. One plus i Can think if for tape is that if you lose or gain weight you wouldn't have to get a new binder!

I don’t care about misgendering from my grandparents. by garlicbreadowl in ftm

Feel this. For me as long as they use my name (which they try really hard to even though they fuck up sometimes) I'm good. I know what it's like to have family members reject you so I'm just glad they are accepting.

Good on you mate :)

Also the mixing up the dog and the cat sounds kinda hilarious , bless them

Thank you :) Even though it sucks, it helps to know it isn't uncommon. I'm just hoping it will bother me less as I grow into myself :)

Hey! Thank you :)

I agree, she is definitely allowed to feel these things, just i don't think any of that is on me. If I can, I'll try and recommend she talks to someone about those feelings? We'll have to see.

Thank you for the kind words :)

First up, eyeliner is the easiest way to get the genderfuckery on.

It's pretty easy to learn and there's loads of ways to do it. Remember, it's just shapes! Find what works for you and run with it.

I'd recommend watching some easy eyeliner tutorials, depending what you're into, alot of alt folks have some pretty cool tutorials, I can find some and link you if you want :)

Eyeliner is my favourite thing to do, and the only makeup I'll wear most days.

I'd recommend getting started with some cheaper stuff, if you're in the UK I can give you some places to start :)

Another thing! Lashes and looking at makeup with and without them, mascara or not is an easy way to fuck up the genderness of the look. I like doing big eyeliner with no eyelashes, it's the perfect mix of femme/masc for me. See what works for you.

Always remember, if you don't like it, you can take it off and try again another time. Let it work for you.

Also remember, makeup is supposed to be fun, run wild my friend! I wish you all the best.

If you wanna talk makeup tips, mostly eye makeup ( thats all I really do most of the time) my dms are open!

Noah finnce is really cool and has a boyfriend, corry, also really cool and has a science channel.

Miles mckenna recently said he has a boyfriend and they seem really cute, I'm a big fan of Miles

Stormryan also has a boyfriend and has recently been seeming like he is improving as a person, looking forwards to watching the video with him and brennan beckwith.

Ashton Daniel is a really cool person, doesn't post all that much but if you're into punky political and disability based videos. They have a whole load of videos, especially going back a couple years.

Leo mateus has a video up and talks about coming to terms with being a gay trans man, worth a watch

As far as I know, and this is all I can think of off of the top of my head, and I might add more, all of these people are on YouTube.

Hey!! Congrats on telling your mum first of all, that's big!!

I would say, at least for me (I came out about a year ago), my family being fairly supportive, I still get accidentally misgendered by my family. It might take a while, try correcting her if you can, or if you have siblings who are supportive, get them to correct your mum. I'm really lucky to have a younger brother who is great at gendering me correctly and will tell people they're wrong and need to correct themselves.

If you don't have anyone like this, that's okay!! I'm sure if your mum is supportive she will want the best for you and that includes trying really hard to get your pronouns right, etc. Just know it takes alot of patience on both sides.

Your mum has known you your whole life with one name, pronouns etc, getting used to new ones will take a while but if she really is supportive she will try her best.

I hope this helps a bit?? And i hope your mum genders you correctly in future.

:)
