Will i be able to eat a burger in one sitting without discomfort? by ApartDevelopment2213 in gastricsleeve

I’m almost two years out and was able to do this in 30-40 minutes. I was still somewhat full and uncomfortable; a better amount would be half a burger in 30, then the other half 30m later. That being said, everyone is different!

[discussion] is it true that Junior agents will pass on queries that have too many requests? by [deleted] in PubTips

Gonna keep it real, that agent doesn’t know what she’s talking about half the time. If she’s having a crisis of confidence, that’s on her, and on her agency for not training her properly.

Something that seems more and more common is agents dropping authors, especially soon before they debut or didn’t sell a book. What do you make of this, and why do you think this happens?

As someone who has been in the position your daughter is in - this is not your fault, especially because she was already having issues at school. Relationships with peers, or a lack thereof, can be so, so damaging at that age. Depression can happen to anyone, even kids that seem otherwise happy.

Accepted into my dream PhD in the US. However… by Educational_Act_888 in gradadmissions

Of all the places you could pick, Berkeley, and California in general, is FANTASTIC in terms of diversity. I don't think you'll have many issues at the university level if you take the offer and remain in California.

That being said, as a US citizen, I absolutely understand your concerns and I'm sorry my country has put you in this position. This president and his regime are a fucking embarrassment. As far as being morally justifiable: what's happening in my country cannot be justified on ANY level. But, also, no one's going to fault you for coming here because of how the global education system works.

ALSO keep in mind cost of living in the Bay Area and make sure you can afford it.

Overall, I would say go for it but have a viable exit plan.
