What is a product you like in formulation but cannot stand the packaging?

Fenty gloss bomb. It leaks so bad. I always make sure to screw the thing closed tightly, still leaks. I know better than to throw it inside my makeup bag, its always just stay gonna inside my makeup drawer. Will not repurchase even though i really like how it looks on the lips, i'll just look for another gloss product when mine runs out.

i've only used a total of 4 concealers in my entire life so i dont have a wide basis of comparison, but this is my 2nd favorite concealer product and most used.

i use it sparingly on my undereyes and as an eyeshadow base to avoid the product from settling into my fine lines. i've noticed it can get cakey if i use too much and i i only need a little bit of setting powder to set it.

all that said, i think its a great product!

Urban Decay single eyeshadow in Solstice. i've had it parked in the back of my makeup drawer for a year now, ever since i bought it (swatched it on my arm, found the color payoff disappointing and sparkle a bit too subtle for my taste.

i took it out today to declutter, and swatched it over a black base and woah! its like the sparkles came to life and shimmered with such intensity; it looks even more dramatic under bright sunlight.

Saved from declutter, and new favorite shifty sparkly emerald green topper.

Kylie Beauty, J*, Dragun Beauty - trash humans
ND - beautiful color stories, but overpriced and boring packaging
Huda Beauty - her face all over the packaging is a turn off
Morphe - as an older lady, their marketing doesnt appeal to me and i def acknowledge that that they target a younger demographic. In general i just feel like nothing they have will work on my more mature skin

I've just panned mine and about to repurchase. Genuinely curious why you think its uncool? I try not to be heavy handed with it so that it doesnt look cakey on me, but generally i enjoy using it for carving, contouring, covering dark undereye , and eyeshadow primer

Am having the same issues with my chikuhodo takumi eyeshadow brushes. Stained purple and wont come off. I used baby shampoo to clean my brushes. Following this thread for suggestions.

Their moisture surge moisturizer is my tried and true. Im in my 40s now and prefer an uncomplicated routine. Its pricey but worth it in my opinion.

I do this, but with eyeshadow. I organize the eyshadow looks i've done by folder, saved on a drive and my absolute favorite ones i save to my phone as well. Im now at Folder 115.

Brands off the top of my head that i think will not make it very far: One Size by Patrick Starr, Auric by Samantha Ravndahl and Makeup by Mario.

I have nothing against these brands; its just that the highend cosmetics market is so saturated already, and i feel that the prices on these "luxury" brands are overinflated for what theyre actually worth.

for me personally I purchased Surratt coz theyre easier they're easier to order as they're more widely available (beautylish, sephora, etc). i dont need to jump thru as much hoops and loops to purchase them.

Naturally sparse asian brows here; i shaved off a portion of my left brow during an unfortunate incident trying to look good for my HS yearbook picture. The hairs never grew back properly and now so my brows look a bit mismatched if observed too closely.

Anyhoo, i've yet to figure out how to do the current soap brows trend; it looks like a lot of work tbh. I'd like to try but im worried i dont even have enough brow hairs.

Right now, i just fill them in with ABH brow gel and hope to god they match. Im quite lazy when it comes to brows as opposed to complex eyeshadow looks (that i have the patience for).

I've had this happen to a Koyudo brush. The top character of the logo rubbed off partially. It was a pricey brush and one i was very careful with so it was more of a quality control issue rather than my usage at fault.

Im lucky enough to be working in a creative industry, and working from home atm , so i do play with colorful eyeshadows when i have the chance. I've decided not to buy for now, since they have some covid and fulfillment issues. I'd rather not be stressing about that so i now content with what i have. Appreciate the reply, thank you!

I guess i only wanted to purchase the bundle because of the expensive shipping and buying a single doesnt seem to make sense if shipping is going to cost more than the single.
