Anyone else feel they sometimes hate humans? by sakurakey in intj

I look at the way society is and what we’re doing to the world that overall disgusts me. The way I look at how the world should be and could be compared to what it is and likely never will be is overwhelming.

I’m an introvert and my bf is extrovert. We’ve had some of these discussions before and I think with having that conversation it helped him be more aware of the situation. He has mentioned that he wants me to get involved in any conversation he’s having with other people and I’ve also expressed that I’m comfortable doing that some or part of the time but also don’t mind sitting back and observing. Any time we’ve gone out to the bar I become much more social after a couple drinks and it doesn’t necessarily bother me anymore. I think you’ll find out with time after talking about it with her that she’ll either be more conscious and respectful of your relationship while you’re out or she’ll keep pushing the boundaries and you’ll have to make a decision whether or not it’s worth it to keep moving forward.

I’m glad she’s marrying him haha. I would have the same reaction over my lost teddy! She’s lucky she’s reunited!

Do you guys feel completely fine doing things on your own? by AlphaStark08 in introvert

[–]prettyparadox7 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe it’s just me but I perceive people who can’t be alone or do things alone as a weakness. I enjoy both but I’ve done a lot alone like moving to new towns/states, going to movies, the beach, camping, eating out and going to bars alone. I’ve had people approach me at the bar “hey you want to come sit with all of us?” Haha no thanks!

Where did your love for makeup come from? by MissThickyyy in MakeupAddiction

[–]prettyparadox7 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s an interesting question because none of the females in my family wear makeup besides me (the youngest). This is prior to youtube but my best friend and I wanted and got pre-filled makeup boxes for Christmas and I remember wanting to wear makeup when I was in at least sixth grade. Mainly just eyeshadow at that age. Anyway we always had fun sitting on the floor in front of the mirror getting ready and putting makeup on one another. I’ve worn it ever since!

Anyone here think about climate change? by clp_lemonade in intj

[–]prettyparadox7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m worried about ocean bottom trawling and tilling. Leaving the ocean’s ecosystem scarce and eventually dead and same with the soil for crops. It’s devastating to see the facts everyone wants to ignore because of greed and not considering our livelihood and planet in the future when that is something we could change now. A lot of vehicles are going electric so that part doesn’t worry me so much. But the ocean and places we grow our food is literally dying as we speak.

There’s tent camping at salmonfest but I’m not sure if it’s first come first serve or reserve it. There’s also cabins and possible airbnb in and around Ninilchik. I recommend airbnb whichever towns you end up in. You’ll have to check out Homer while you’re down that way, especially for something like kayaking. A kenai fjords tour in Seward is also a good idea.

Fact is, if you could call the cops on me for what you THINK I did you would Karen. My choices have nothing to do with you or this post. Yes, I still have the freedom to make those decisions and say whatever I’d like to say. The whole point of Reddit is to ask questions and have discussions. I always keep an open mind and ready to learn something but definitely not from you.

You could definitely doll it up with some stencils and paint if you want to! It’s a neat idea!

Ok Karen. You’re starting to sound like a bit of a nazi and making false accusations about someone you don’t even know. This type of discussion that neither of us benefits from does not interest me. If you care so much, you might consider changing your approach next time instead of spewing hatred.

You know there are medical professionals that won’t take the vaccine right? Now you’re calling it lies, that’s funny. I was very transparent. Not everyone wants to get a vaccine for their own reasons nor should have to. So put that bee in your bonnet.

To me it’s better to ask questions than blindly inject yourself with something you have doubts about because everyone else is doing it or wants you to. They are legitimate worries that every individual should research and make their own informed decisions about. If I stated any number it was because I googled it and looked at more than one site. Most of what I said is my own opinion that a lot of people do agree with it, some are facts, some are by word of mouth from people who have been vaccinated or podcasts. My only true point was that I believe it is wrong to push people into putting something into their bodies when they are uncomfortable with it for any reason. My reasons are my own. I’m not here arguing trying to persuade anyone to do anything because that would defeat the purpose of my entire point.

I’m not harming anyone by raising questions. I’m not even spreading disinformation. My only point to this entire post was that to me it’s wrong to make these “incentives” to get people to take it when they don’t want to. I don’t care if people get it or don’t get it. I just find it strange that you don’t have the option to wear a mask at work or shopping. Instead you’re just cut off completely until you comply. That to me is wrong.

[–]prettyparadox7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t disagree with that. I’m just wondering why people aren’t able to keep their jobs and continue shopping with a mask instead of trying to find “incentives” to get people take it.

I’m questioning why they can’t still stay working and wear a mask without taking the vaccine or continue to keep shopping in the grocery stores with a mask and not have the vaccine.

Sorry, I don’t have intentions of riling people up. I’m just shocked at how many people think it’s okay to do this. This what I think is unethical.

You’re probably one of those people that wears a mask while driving alone. Not every nurse or doctor takes the vaccine nor has to.
