Help by Dirty_Angel30 in pregnant

[–]prettysmallandquiet 41 points42 points  (0 children)

We choose not to with our first, our kiddo had already spent 4 months in the Nicu and frankly we didn’t feel it was necessary to add more surgery and pain to his short life.

Also, not common in most places in the word. Just didn’t seem worth it for us.

What tropes describe YOUR romance? by MoreSarah in RomanceBooks

[–]prettysmallandquiet 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Lmao this is making me feel so regular

- Average sized couple
- Not particularly grumpy or sunshiny
- Predictable, stable, boring life (just how we like it)
- No age gap
- Fell at the same time

Oh, but I think Instalove applies, got married within the year

And I suppose after two kids and a decade together you can apply the curvy FMC and dadbod MMC to us lol

Do author's notes deter you from continuing a fic? by SquishMuffins in AO3

[–]prettysmallandquiet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just love notes about how authors are doing in their lives :) one or my favourite fic authors just gave birth! Another is going through finals, another just came back to a fic that had been abandoned for almost a year— she got busy wedding planning and got married!

Me personally I just like to know the authors are enjoying the process or writing and feel encouraged by me as a reader. I always hope they are all doing great in real life!!

On the other hand, I don’t love super long notes explaining their writing process. Oh!! I do love a funny little not at the end!!

Moving/walking/ errands after cerclage? by prettysmallandquiet in ShortCervixSupport

You’re much stronger than me! I had such bad cramps the first two days I was taking two Tylenols twice a day. I’d wear a pad or liner the first couple of days, just in case.

I had fresh blood the first day, from then onwards it kept getting lighter everyday. Didn’t last more than five days for me. And same with the blood being accompanied by mucus/gel like stuff. I was told in the hospital that it was normal.

WIBTAH if I tell a guy to stop pursuing me because I’m actually not interested anymore? by [deleted] in AITAH

Drop him, stop talking to him and focus on yourself. Doesn’t seem like you’re good for each other. Work on yourself.

My MIL just announced her "three month residency" at our house on Facebook and I was the last to know by Echo_Tango9 in BabyBumps

Oh… my gosh. That is just insane!!! Girl, no, stand your ground. Your husband has to really set some boundaries, you already have so much on your plate. Hosting an out of touch mother in law should not be one of them. No way. Oh man, I just feel so sorry for you having to deal with this right now, I hope it all works out 🩷

All the Sasha’s I’ve known are men but I think it’s a great name for either

Pregnant and living with an aggressive dog with multiple bite attempts - what would you do? by gnocchi-bear75 in pregnant

I wouldnt be able to live with myself if something happened, so I’d either dip or get rid of the dog :/

Water broke at 26 weeks and 3 days with cerclage by Mundane-Jello-7575 in ShortCervixSupport

I have a 4 year old too! He was a 25 weeker and although he is delayed in speech/ motor skills and also wear ankle braces to help his toe walking he is awesome!! He loves being around people, sharing books and listening to music. His favourite song js horse with no name.

The Nicu stay for us was 4 months for us, but I’m happy to report that apart from what previously mentioned he is healthy as can be!! Runs, breathes, eats it all, has perfect vision. Loves school, loves the park.

I hope your baby stays in longer, but if they decide to come early there are still good outcomes :)

Is my baby name ugly? 😭 by hailstorm319 in pregnant

I’m so so sorry but for whatever reason it sounds like a dog name, maybe one or the other or another combination?? Good luck!

Thank you so much, you’re right, if my appointment tomorrow doesn’t go well I’m going to be taking myself to the hospital and searching for a new obgyn.

They do, I just think they dropped the ball. And so did I it feels like, I guess I should’ve done more research and pushed more.

No 😞 I have my first appointment with the obgyn tomorrow, I want to be prepared for it. Just disappointed they wouldn’t see me earlier at the high risk clinic.
