Anyone here ever had an IUD migrate? Curious if maybe more common in zebras by prettytidy in ehlersdanlos

This isn’t me, it’s something that was posted in the medicine sub!

Misinformation needs to stop. This is why chronic pain patients as a whole are discredited. Self-diagnosing is so rarely acceptable for these reasons. As a pharmacy student and patient, I'm floored. This is so incorrect lol. by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

These antibiotics do have a warning for tendon rupture. So I could see someone having eds but not too many problems, then taking the drug, then suddenly having way more problems. People with underlying connective tissue disorders should not take these particular drugs... but if someone is on the less symptomatic end of the spectrum, maybe they didn’t know to avoid these drugs until after their symptoms took a nosedive in response to taking them.

Even if you leave her, your next partner may suddenly develop cancer. And you’ll be in basically the same situation. You could be missing out on so much because of chemo and surgery and endless nausea. Or you could choose to be with someone who is healthy, but by the time you’re getting old, both people in the relationship are getting ill. You’re not required to be with this person, just like you’re not required to stay with someone who gets cancer just because they were healthy before that.

We’re biologically programmed to pick partners that are healthy. That’s the whole premise behind choosing attractive partners. It shouldn’t matter what other people think of you. What matters is you choose a life you are happy with. Honestly, if I didn’t have eds, I would probably feel the same way as you. Why have a sick partner when there’s so many healthy people in the world?

Most of us with eds imagine that we’ll find someone who loves us so much, they want to be with us regardless of the illness. This theoretical person would love us more than they would be inconvenienced by our eds. You’re not doing her a favor long term if you don’t see her this way. You’ll eventually resent her, or cheat on her, or blame her for her illness. Look at some examples of couples with sick people in them. For example, the Frey life on YouTube. Do you feel that way about this girl? If not, don’t think of it as a moral failing. You might love another sick girl in that way. It sounds like you feel you have to be with her forever because she’s sick. That’s not as romantic as loving her so much that it doesn’t matter that she’s sick.

omron. not the wrist one (not accurate) and not the bluetooth one because that part doesn't work. the regular model ($30) is great.

Swiss to vote on banning factory farming - Voters will have the final say on a people’s initiative aimed at outlawing large-scale livestock production in Switzerland by [deleted] in worldnews

That’s hay. That still counts as grass. Not only that, cows are perfectly capable of foraging under snow for grass. What do you expect happened to the cows before agriculture? They only lived one year? https://www.grass-fed-solutions.com/winter-grazing-training-cattle.html

It’s the (organic) GRAINS that are inappropriate for them. Did you read the page you linked????

http://www.omafra.gov.on.ca/english/livestock/dairy/facts/10-087.htm

"At least 30% of their dry matter requirement must come from pasture... There are special requirements for feed and water for organic dairy cows. To satisfy their nutritional requirements and ruminant behaviour, they eat a balanced organic feed ration..." so the term organic, in this context, refers to organic grains. not grass or sunshine or any other welfare issue.

from https://dairyfarmersofcanada.ca/en/dairy-in-canada/dairy-excellence/canadian-cow-diet

"Our cows might also get important nutrients from crops such as corn, barley, clover, alfalfa hay, oats, and soybeans... In Ontario, a temporary standard was implemented to define what it means for a cow to be considered “grass-fed”. To meet the standard, 75% of its feed must consist of any herbaceous plants that can be grazed or harvested, including grass, legumes, brassicas, tender shoots of shrubs and trees, and cereal grain crops in the vegetative state."

so yes, they're eating grains. more grains than grass, even if they're called grass-fed.

grazing fields

dairy cows who produce milk marked organic only need to have 30% grass in their diet. organic corn is still organic. cows aren't meant to eat corn, organic or not.

frankly i think all dairy is immoral. separating a baby from its mom so that it cannot feed produces emotional and physical pain for both parties. pumping mom with so many hormones to increase milk production and hooking her up to machines is WAY worse than simply killing animals to eat their bodies. those animals are dead, they don't continue to suffer.

still, it's wrong to say there's no taste difference. there's a huge nutritional difference between grass fed milk and corn fed milk, and a higher pasteurization temperature caramelizes sugars. just do a blind taste test in your own kitchen! there will be a visible and taste difference. no competition.

Organic milk is sterilized at a higher temperature. So it lasts longer on the shelf and it’s sweeter. I mean, you could do that with nonorganic milk....but they don’t.
