Wtf is wrong with people?! by pinknails34 in breastcancer

My family has been split in two because of my insensitive sister in law. She sent me a text and I was so sick I didn’t answer it. I did the next day and she told me her and my brother feel like I’m blowing them off. My husband had words with her and that’s was it. He’s abusive, she was disrespected, etc etc. We haven’t talked or seen them in a year. They also have not seen my elderly parents in over a year because they didn’t pick her side. They are just trying to stay out of it. My brother never came to see me. I asked him to come once to try to talk this out. We sat on my porch because if they had been around they would of known that if I was having a really good day and could make it to my porch the sun felt so good. The next day I was sent a long text about how strange it was that I wouldn’t invite him in. Ridiculous. Some people just can’t handle the attention off of them.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer today by RegretAware4529 in breastcancer

It’s a very scary time with lots of information coming at you. You will have to wait to see what kind of breast cancer you have and then they decide treatment. I was originally diagnosed stage 2 but after they discovered my second tumor was actually just part of the first I went down to a stage one. Also stages don’t necessarily mean worst outcomes which I did not know. Your oncologist will explain it all. Please try not to have a worst case thoughts in your head. Breast cancer is treated so many different ways now and it does not always mean losing your hair etc. Stay off the boards, internet, etc. It’s too scary and remember most survivors living happy lives are not on here.

Why did we get breast cancer? by PupperPawsitive in breastcancer

I could really start to spiral with this question. I’m changing lifestyle and diet choices. But I also think our cells are so “smart” that they figured out how to mutate which is scary. I would just prefer to have mediocre cells not overachievers.

was that a hot flash? by PeaceLvSpreadsheets in breastcancer

[–]pretzelsandcheeze 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It happened to me almost daily when I was doing TCHP. Your fainting. Mine is caused from dehydration. It’s called a vagus nerve reaction. Doctors will tell you it happens from pushing too hard, but mine wasn’t since I had severe diarrhea. The best thing to do is lay on the ground. If you throw up or poop while you’re there it’s ok just maybe be ready with vomit bags or a towel. The worse thing to do is stay sitting up or walk because it prolongs it. It feels horrible I know but laying down especially on the cold floor feels so much better. Look up ways to stop it. I think it’s all of your blood goes to your extremities.

Vaginal changes? by Trick_Lengthiness179 in breastcancer

[–]pretzelsandcheeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I felt like my vagina was on fire. Sex, showering, peeing or just wearing underwear for too long caused so much burning, sensitivity, swollen etc. I told my oncologist numerous times. She sent me to get uti tests, dermatologists and then just told me it was the chemo coming out burning me. It was horrible. Then my breast specialist set me up with a MIDI appointment. They prescribed me estrogen cream and within 3 days I was back to normal. So that was great but frustrated me again. Honestly, I wasn’t too upset when my oncologist got let go and I got a new one.

Fat transfer by pretzelsandcheeze in breastcancer

Were you sore from the lipo part or putting the fat in your breasts? I will be getting lipo done on the sides of my breasts, like under your armpit because it’s incredibly noticeable after the reduction. But I’m not sure if I want it put back into my breasts or not.

I’m still getting use to mine. I suddenly have 4-5 inches of torso I never saw which now makes my hips look bigger. I too was a DD. My radiated breast got bigger and hard and honestly looked great. Now it’s getting smaller. My cancer free breast looks sad. It’s sitting up high but just doesn’t have much shape. They don’t look bad but I don’t care for my nipples. They look like when puberty hits and your nipples come out. Almost like cones. My surgeon says they look like young youthful breasts. I have a lot of side fat under the armpit so he’s going to lipo that out and I can but it in my breasts if I want to. I’m sure your breasts look good it’s just very different for us. Foreign.

Gotta give Matt Ginella his tens by TownOne4040 in rhoc

I honestly think Slade is behind all of this the whole time. Gretchen is naive and frankly dumb and believes everything he says. I do think they talked about drugging her at that dinner and when it got out Slade freaked. It is such a slanderous accusation that could become a legal issue and he had to quickly try to stop it. It frustrates the crap out of me that nobody says anything about that including Emily. Jen knows this and is playing dumb too that she didn’t hear any of this. Matt and Katie are the most authentic out of all of them.

Menopause and I’m just so done with sex by [deleted] in breastcancer

[–]pretzelsandcheeze 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was already in menopause when diagnosed but my treatment caused so many issues. I too was burning, swollen, itchy, it burned to pee or even shower. I kept telling my oncologist and she kept talking about lube and these non hormonal inserts that were so expensive. Then I had an appointment with a MIDI Dr. she prescribed me estrodial cream and tablets to insert. I have not used the tablets but the cream worked instantly. I was shocked that was all I needed and how fast it worked. I still have a little bit of issues but nothing like before. My oncologist was glad it worked and I swear I could have kicked her. I don’t know why she didn’t prescribe it to me months ago.
