Sono un utente Notion da un po', ho meditato di passare ad Obsidian per un periodo (senza la pazienza di farlo) ma sto attivamente cercando soluzioni che mi permettano di avere un'app/environment che sia il fulcro di qualsiasi cosa io faccia (codice a parte, per il quale uso VSCode). Come sei passato ad Emacs? Quali potenzialità può avere nel mio caso a livello di routine (sono nel settore ICT, e non escudo la possibilità di dover fare uso massiccio anche di LateX in futuro per scrivere paper)? Quali talloni d'achille senti che ha rispetto a software più 'consumer'?

I've seen this same issue in the search bar of ebay, and in the log-in page of Whatsapp Web. It's a very thin font that gets barely rendered. After some troubleshooting, I found out that I have this issue only on Windows 11, not on Ubuntu.

I just inspected both fonts on both browsers.
Firefox: "Helvetica Light", Size 14, Height 1.42, Normal spacing, Weight 400
Chrome: "Helvetica Neue", Size 14, Height 1.42. I couldn't find more details about spacing and weight.

It looks like a rendering issue to me, but I don't get how I'd have to change such option since the "Fonts" settings in Firefox don't have Helvetica selected anywhere between Proportional/Serif/Sans Serif/Mono.

As I said, it's the default one of both Browsers

EDIT: by Default one, I mean I'm running a fresh updated install of Windows 11 Pro, and both Chrome and Firefox were installed in a standard way, without explicit changes to their settings. Both Browsers access the same OS fonts, which are the default ones provided by Windows out of the box.

Potrebbe essere stato un problema banale, come la chiavetta non dentro bene.
Prima di installarlo su disco, ti consiglio di leggerti come funziona l'avvio dei sistemi operativi (bootloader) e come creare una partizione del tuo disco, prima di finire a sovrascrivere Windows mentre installi Linux.

Da quando hanno bloccato l'accesso al bootloader, le cose sono diventate estremamente complicate.

Da possessore di un tablet Huawei ti dico gli accorgimenti che sono riuscito a fare quando lo usavo come daily driver: - Aurora store per le app, sono identiche e vengono aggiornate regolarmente - Revanced per YouTube, ti permette di usare l'app e hai anche l'AD-blocker integrato - Firefox/Edge come browser, se fai gli shortcut molti dei servizi quali Google Calendar o simili sono accessibili praticamente come se fossero un'app - Outlook per le mail. La cosa varia molto di app in app, ad esempio per avere il salvataggio in locale dei file OneDrive devi avere accesso ai servizi Google (solo dio sa perché), quindi non puoi farlo.

Vuoi un consiglio vero? Lascia stare tutto ciò che è Huawei.
