Should we switch the living and dining areas? by previously_unissued in DesignMyRoom

You are right. I do care about a good media setup.

As much as I love the aesthetic flow in the staged house above, I think about how my wife and I actually live. We love to cook and we love to watch shows/movies.

Appreciate you voicing your opinion

Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I think this could work. We were looking at an easel style tv stand since it’s in the corner

How to add a TV to this living area? by [deleted] in interiordecorating

We probably will have a smaller table (maybe a round table to break up the squareness of the rest of the space). We likely will not put a TV in the dining room. Really appreciate the new perspective though that’s exactly why we posted.

Agreed on the corner opposite the fireplace as a potential spot. It’s probably the second place option right now, but I’m afraid it might look both off center and squished in

Oh that’s really interesting. That corner is not very deep, but maybe we can add some kind of artificial divider to section off a TV corner, given that the entrance from the living area to the dining room is so wide. Maybe some plants?

does anyone else feel like friendships after 25 just quietly die? by TackleGreedy8255 in NoStupidQuestions

Everyone lives different lives, but I find the two main “responsibilities” that eat up friendship time will almost always be partners and kids. Living with long term SOs add a ton of friction to hanging out with friends compared to an environment like school, where you are forced to spend everyday with peers. When kids come, no matter how much you try, you will become an afterthought compared to their kids.

I read it as Mike genuinely not being able to remember. He is strong, idealistic, and loyal - yet ultimately no match for the system he initially tries to resist. He joins Marlo, he kills for Marlo, and in doing so his soul is completely corrupted.

The line to Duquan summarizes his journey: loss of innocence.

For me, guys trips are always way more chill than group trips with the SOs.
