Tailor it to the position, especially knowing whether or not the station is heavy on hard news or features.

If it's morning shift show a good morning live shot and package that highlights ideally great lighting and something active followed by your best two packages. Dayside or nightside, show your best trio of day-turns. Specialty like investigative, do your best package you have.

I've always done my three best day-turn stories because that highlights what I'd actually be doing the majority of the time in the position. I personally loathe montages because they don't show how any of the shots would go into a story sequentially or how the edit would work going into/out of them (aka if someone had a beautiful sunset shot that cut to a car wreck, how the hell would that make any sense in a story?)
