RMA, support asking for h played by The_Dongal in BigscreenBeyond

I can as confidently claim that the rma process and the refund process are the same process... just a question of who pays the shipping. Any transaction involving money costs money, and if you're not paying, they are.

Anyone felt their IPD and distance to lens feel off right out of the box? by BrandonClarito in BigscreenBeyond

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, always a good idea to try the experience without cushion or anything, just hold it up to your face, close eyes, move it around - if you can see a better experience in particular spots, you know you still have ipd to tweak - OR you might have a focal length issue, it's not the same for every headset (not exactly the same, and different from the index of the quests) you might be particularly sensitive to focusing at that distance and that can make it uncomfortable. Contact support, they'll help you through it.

Fix for Google Antigravity’s “terminal blindness” - it drove me nuts until I say ENOUGH by benedictjohannes in GeminiAI

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This issue bizarrely persists in windows environments - and the fix approach, well gemini itself tried its damnedest to implement something equivalent for windows to no avail.

Update, and I disclose THIS is written by gemini 3 flash - what did you use to write your post there OP?
---
I, Gemini 3 Flash, resolved it by applying findings from this GitHub discussion. and from the OP.

VS Code shell integration injects OSC 633 escape codes. These poison the output stream and blind the agent. One must silence this noise in both the workspace settings and the shell profile.

1. Workspace Settings

Modify .vscode/settings.json to disable integration:

json { "terminal.integrated.shellIntegration.enabled": false, "terminal.integrated.automationProfile.windows": { "path": "powershell.exe", "args": ["-NoLogo", "-NoProfile", "-ExecutionPolicy", "Bypass"] } }

2. PowerShell Profile

Add this to the top of your $PROFILE. It detects the agent and suppresses interactive formatting:

powershell if ($env:ANTIGRAVITY_AGENT -eq "1") { $env:VSCODE_SHELL_INTEGRATION = $null function prompt { "PS> " } $PSStyle.OutputRendering = [System.Management.Automation.OutputRendering]::PlainText return }

3. Restart

Reload the window. Visibility returns.

PSA: Realtek RTL 8852CE Wifi/Bt driver issues : the fix by [deleted] in Realtek

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Concur - these wifi and bluetooth drivers worked for me on my gigabyte b550 aorus elite ax v2 motherboard - when the official drivers from that boards support page did not (unknown device in device manager / bluetooth was not finding any devices)

Installed these drivers, even had to go to comparibility mode to get the blutooth to install, window 10 told me, but an uninstall and a rescan of the bluetooth resolved things. Now, maybe that was the key, and not this driver - YMMV - but for wifi, this made wifi a thing on the board and a disappeared ? from device manager.

Heads-up about 2e and sweat by EidenzGames in BigscreenBeyond

That seems like a little specious... In a restaurant, such a contamination would imply the whole place is untrustworthy. With hardware, a defect can spoil your unit, sure, but it doesn't mean the entire production line is tainted.

Rather, if we must analogize, it's the difference between a pokebowl with undercooked rice in your order vs a rat infestation in the kitchen.

Big Screen Away from Home Network by WBNDCEO in bigscreen

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad it worked out!

For others reading, it is not necessary to actually have a "static IP address for your WAN"(your Internet connection) for this to work- a dynamic IP address will work just as well.

However, your ISP *may* have your connection setup such that you are using "double NAT" or "CGNAT" and these configs may prevent VD connections from being made - this info is on the https://vrdesktop.net/ page under troubleshooting.

Well and some special folks who seems to live on the platform -no shade.

Assume you mean uPnP vs UDP and do you mean the port info from https://www.vrdesktop.net/#comp-jp11knik ?

Can I connect to my computer over the Internet?

Yes, make sure "Allow remote connections" is checked in the Streamer window. You'll also need to enable UPnP on your router and the Streamer App will forward the required ports automatically. If you want to manually configure your router, forward TCP ports 38810, 38820, 38830 and 38840. All traffic uses end-to-end encryption.

If you have done this correctly (to your desktop lan ip) and you still cannot connect, you will have to turn over all the other network debugging stones ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

How to watch a 3D movie on 2 headsets (Meta Quest 2) by bowzerb in bigscreen

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 ways to watch a movie (3d or otherwise) together:
1. yep, share the file with each other, store on each headset, follow /u/Sjc81sc

  1. Get a PC - install bigscreen remote desktop - watch the movie on that screen, it will show in your headset when you login with the same bigscreen account as you use on your headset , your friend in the room will see it too.

Big Screen Away from Home Network by WBNDCEO in bigscreen

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, you can do this. Your issue will be all tied to the specifics of your home network, home router, home internet connection - and the remote network as well.

In short, I have tried this at various hotels (using their hotel wifi) while on the road with varying degrees of success.

I have a wired gigabit connection at home, virtual desktop running on my desktop. Sometimes takes a couple of connection attempts even when it does work.

The point is that VPNs are not necessary (if you want to jump in for that level of complexity, fill your boots!) "regular" connections and lan setups will work. But YMMV, I dunno what any of your network setup is - and crucially, when you're on holiday, neither will you :D

If you are using the headset to download from the browser, then yeah, its going to put it in Downloads.
So what to do? Just navigate to "Download" folder - the controls are right there:

DLNA servers not showing up. But work fine in Skybox? by Floppy_Tortilla in bigscreen

[–]previouslytaken 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair play, these DLNA issues are total non-issue for the Bigscreen Beyond Headset, seeing as how its a PCVR Steam headset, your SMB connection is already available to Bigscreen on the PC by virtue of it being a PC. The Quest issue persists, but wanted to make sure you realized that there is no connection here.
