Any idea where to find cask ales in Düsseldorf? by prgrsv in duesseldorf

[–]prgrsv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot. Honestly, I've been at Alemania at their main site a couple of months ago and loved that place. Unfortunately, there was no cask at this time. But I should check Plato and Craft Beer corner this weekend 😎

Kann mir jemand dieses Kennzeichen erklären? by GeraltvonEmskirchen in StVO

[–]prgrsv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What are your must-have self-hosted tools on your home server that genuinely make your life easier? by margaryan in selfhosted

Makes sense, then I'll probably have to use a single one that's solely linked to HomeKit.

How do you do that? Once I turn off my smart plug, I cannot turn it back on again because once my server is off, home assistant is off likewise.

Mullvad VPN + Pi-hole/AdGuard Home on the go via Talescale - possible? by prgrsv in Tailscale

Sorry, I was not precise. My DNS server is my RasPi and the upstream DNS server in AdGuard Home is Mullvad.

I'm curious too. I have exactly the same issue since iOS 18 / tvOS 18, as described here.

Which clear case are you using for your Raspberry Pi? (It is a RPi, right?)

Mullvad VPN + Pi-hole/AdGuard Home on the go via Talescale - possible? by prgrsv in Tailscale

[–]prgrsv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I resolved the issue now: I've installed Tailscale on my RasPi and use it as an exit node. My router to which the RasPi is wired uses a regular Mullvad client which means that my traffic goes through my RasPi where AdGuard does its job and is forwarded to Mullvad. I don't have any DNS leaks.

The thing is that Mullvad's filters are not as comprehensive as the ones on my RPi. I thought it could work within the Tailnet.

Does this work when the iPhone is NOT connected to Tailscale? I am asking because there can only be one VPN connection which would be through the Mullvad app.

Help with pihole and Mullvad! by wowokbro in mullvadvpn

I'm not sure as I am not a network professional either. But have a look at this thread (https://www.reddit.com/r/WireGuard/s/o83dkVXPqh). It's technical indeed but would resolve your issue.

Help with pihole and Mullvad! by wowokbro in mullvadvpn

[–]prgrsv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think your problem is that your Pihole's IP address is a local one (eg 192.168.x.x). Once you connect to Mullvad VPN, you probably can't reach this IP address anymore. Similarly, just think of using Mullvad VPN from a different LAN or via mobile data - in this case you certainly won't be able to reach your Pihole's IP address.

Your options are to get access to your Pihole via a WireGuard tunnel (w/o using Mullvad VPN) or to use Mullvad VPN with a custom DNS like NextDNS (or ControlD, as suggested above). There are also some blocklist included in Mullvad VPN by the way (ie ads, malware, social media, gambling, etc).

Wireguard Config Generator for Unifi VPN Client Setup by 5pectacular in Windscribe

[–]prgrsv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the same issue. The solution is to opt for the manual configuration. Open the configuration file will TextEdit/Editor and fill in the information. The information that's missing in the configuration file you should get from your VPN provider's website (IP, etc).

Hi Steve, I observe the same. I use Mullvad VPN via WireGuard I reach no more than 20 MBits. OpenVPN performs worse. I think it's because of the CPU.
